  1. 2 years ago I won a centerpoint whisper 380 , I don't use it much as I have a mbx 400. But I noticed a limb starting to delaminat. Contacted them in nov and limbs are warranted for 5 years. bUt I needed to take it to centerpoint dealer or ship top end back to them for repair. Well I just got around to taking it apart and needed shipping label to send back as no local dealer . And WOW!!!! centerpoint and ravin are same company now, called today for shipping label address and they said they will just send whole new top end of x bow. Complete with strings and silencers and to keep old one. I'll take old apart.and keep strings cables cams and other parts. Great customer service!!!

  3. I say none of these mandated restrictions. I don't feel like being told how to spend my hard earned money. And that is exactly what Antler restrictions do. That said on private land if I was hunting on land other than my own and they said they want to focus on shooting deer with X properties and let those with Y walk, then of course you gotta respect the wishes of the owner. I'm all for self imposed restrictions, just not those imposed by the government in the form of ARs #ThankYouForLessOverzealousModding #WeDemandUnlimitedLikes #WeDemandADislikeButton

  6. I feel the thread has run it's course and members have posted the same things over and over but feel I have been put in a Catch 22 position . If I lock the thread , people will feel that I am biased . If I don't lock it , same thing . So - Here's the Deal -- At Noon tomorrow ( March 5 ) , I am going to lock the thread . Get whatever else you have to say out of your system ! You have a little over 26 hours so Git 'r Done !

  7. I completely agree, and if anyone thinks his AG will find anything then they’re living in a dream world. The only way she finds anything is if this covers something way bigger that they’re trying to get I head of. What bothers me the most is the left couldn’t give a shit about the 1000’s of nursing home deaths and that cover up yet a lady says Andy asked her to eat a sausage and it’s the end of the world, as a country we’re F*cked. 8. I think those harassment allegations are going to be a smoke screen for the murder charges he deserves. He couldn't even get his crocodile tears to flow yesterday,Yet there are a lot of fools that will still support him. I personally hope this is the end of coumo.I never agreed with those sayings "careful what you wish for or I know what I got with him"

  9. I really don't care about the harassment allegations, as Millions of NY'ers have been getting f@#$ed by Andy for decades and nothing's been done about it. He kills thousands, makes millions doing it and their worried about allegations ??????????????????

  11. Not as fancy, efficient, and good looking as Mowin’s setup but I got her done. I collected a messily 160 gallons of sap and boiled it down yesterday. I did “cheat” and use my new RO bucket (RB-10)...the day before my boil I sent my 160 gallons of 2% sap through the RO and ended up with 80 gallons of 4+% sap...at an average rate of 10 gallons of sap per 40 minutes. using the rule of 86, I would have needed to boil 43 gallons of sap to get 1 gallon of syrup...with the RO, I only needed about 20 gallons. At an evaporation rate of 10 gph, I saved a ton of boiling time! And with the new revisions to my arch, I used less than a 1/4 cord of wood (over 8 hours). I’m very pleased ! Looking forward to next weeks warm weather! I have just under 500 gallons of sap capacity between my two ice-insulated storage areas. Good luck to all the sugarmakers out there!!

  16. The side effects are the same as any other vaccine. Had my second shingles shot last week. Felt like crap with arm pain, slight fever, shivering, headache all night long. Did not sleep well. None of this is unique to the COVID vaccine and tells you it is doing it's job. When I got up in the morning, told my wife that I am definitely never getting shingles. That vaccine worked! When I'm eligible to get the vaccine, I'll gladly take a short burst of immune cytokines and the effects they produce (symptoms above) to have the peace of mind of not being hospitalized or die from COVID. And, I'll take whatever is available. Everything with EUA (Pfizer, JNJ and Moderna) is remarkably effective as far as vaccines go.

  20. It's amazing to me that many (not you) that I run into have no idea how some of these "good intentioned" programs have real world impacts on them. Whether it is being passed over for a job position or having to pay higher taxes. NY's moves to include project labor agreements that force Union participation to build publicly funded projects, State of Federal mandates to pay Davis Bacon Wages on projects that are publicly funded, Having to meet "goals" for subcontractor contracts to a class of business, among others. It forces costs up and those costs are funded by taxpayer money. So I can see some value if it's info they can use in selecting or supporting candidates or policies.

  21. The county you live in probably owns forestry county lands which some you are allowed to hunt on . Some of these properties are donated to the county by the philanthropic sector other land is given to the county in Lou of rest home or county home fees for individuals in assisted-living end of life situations. At times these tracks of land are hundreds of acres . You should check with your local county soil and water office . may be a lot more land than meets the eye that you have access to . County owned recreational property seems to be well hidden to the average user . Sorry for all the posts but I hunt a lot of public, state ,county forestry lands we have hella good luck so this topic is one for me to share on .

  23. I second this . State land can be extremely productive we have had good luck on state land . Once we were out in Calhoun creek forest pulled up three trucks were loading up and leaving .we entered the woods headed to the steepest section and thickest cripple brush . Not a foot track in the snow . 2 hours later we were heading out to the truck with a 8 on the drag.. I guess the previous group never saw anything. Lol

  24. From my experience you wont see many hunters all bow season. Gun dies off after opening weekend so the way I see it it's like having 1000s of acres to yourself without paying for it. The best time to scout a new piece atleast for me is as soon as the snow melts because it will show the sign from the fall really well. Some spots you may need to walk in a mile or more others you might be within eyesight of the road. Just have a plan b-z just in case. I always make sure i have 2-3 spots per stateland just in case someone beats me to my spot first. Which doesn't happen much. Last thing is you are going to have to be more aggressive on your sits and be mobile. If you know where they are bedding get in as close as possible because most deer and especially big bucks wont move outside of their bedroom until very last light on stateland.

  25. Lot of stateland to explore, with the exception of opening day or phesant release sites if found most public land devoid of hunters especially off main access roads. I enjoy a walk thru local state lands for fall Turkey and never see another hunter.

  37. For brassicas, this stuff has not let me down. https://frigidforage.com/big-n-beasty/ Always grows great and draws from the start of green up through late season, at least at my one parcel - the other parcel, they have too many other options and brassicas are really not preferred

  39. If youre bowhunting youll have a blast on state land! Walk them all in the next few weeks as the snow melts away. Have several spots in case you arrive at one and theres already a hunter there.

  40. How ? Here’s the questions from the screening form . I guess folks just lie ? seems like they’re taking spots from old folks who may need it more .

  41. I see cancel culture up close and personal every day. It's disheartening, but not everything that you disagree with should automatically be labeled cancel culture. It's become a rallying cry of the far right, much like the left calling the right Nazis. Words intended to provoke an immediate and intense reaction because that's how we've been conditioned. I'd suggest less buzzwords. I appreciate a well constructed argument, even one I disagree with lol.

  44. March 26 for me. Counting down the days. I know and respect people for their views as to the impact of this virus. I'm no health professional but I've seen enough of those who got the crap kicked out of them that I'm willing to get the vaccine and roll with it. Such is life.
