  1. Took almost two months to get here, but we’ll worth the wait. I wanted a muzzle loader shotgun for a few years, but kept looking for a used one well I gave in and bought a new pedersoli 12 ga. sxs and couldn’t be happier it’s beautiful. I’m going to try some turkey and small game hunting with it. I’d also like to try a little sheet shooting if I can find a range up by me. Hoping to shoot it in a few weeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Walked in a lgs and for couple thousand pistol primers he had for me and this was on the shelf. I held it and bought it. It’s a mossberg sa-20 turkey, 20ga 22” barrel. This makes my 4th semi 20ga turkey gun with number 5 on the way. I’ll have to wait until some chokes get here to test her out but shot 25 clays in the yard and it cycled perfect. It’s got a pretty nice trigger. Weighs 5lbs 3oz on my scale, that’s what sold me on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Well I didn’t have the heart to dump what was in my buckets while pulling my collection equipment for the season so I put my previously cleaned pans back on the arch along with 50 gallons of sap last evening. Had a nice dinner with my wife while closing up shop. The ice I collected for the sap refrigeration area at my sugar shack lasted to the end (although my creek-side “ice castle” melted quicker than I thought). I’ll finish boil today with an anticipated gallon of very dark syrup. All and all, a great season albeit a slow start, but lots of lessons learned to add to the list! I can share my lessons learned if interested...I would be very interested to hear what you learned and any changes to your sugar making for next season. Happy Spring!!

  10. Search is over - I bought a Bass Pro 6'8" Ultra light 1 piece rod with a fast action. Hopefully it survives shipping. It ended up being a default. At 7:40 am this morning, the St Croix were showing available, now they show as sold out. But the longest rod they had in stock at that time was 6' and I wanted a little bit longer rod for streams. I can also use this for any other panfish fishing I may do off the boat. The smartest thing I ever did in my life was to get my wife a Cabelas credit card. The points add up so quickly I can hardly keep up with her!

  11. I heard on fox news earlier today. Someone not sure who it was said."when someone kills someone with a gun they blame the gun. When a cop kills someone with a gun they blame the cop. Doesn't make much sense. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

  16. No problem Grouse. Honestly though, that’s a lot of doublespeak. If you’re talking about a 1776 type action, you’ll find few who embrace those tactics. Some of those few are waiting for their trials for the capitol incident. I’ll continue to vote Republican, sign petitions, support 2A rights groups and follow the law. Call me a FUDD or whatever, but I won’t be taking up arms against the government.

  17. You are an arrogant A-hole and not much more. You constantly post BS on this site and think you know more than anyone else and this is your reply to a legitimate question from a respected forum member?? If you don't want to answer questions to what you've posted then maybe you shouldn't post this BS. I would think this is easy enough for anyone to understand.

  18. Know why people get killed in mass shootings? The government prevents them from returning fire to defend themselves. Many of these insane killers have been stopped by an armed citizen, but the media refuses to tell that to the public. They want us to believe these people cannot be stopped. Yet many are. It's propaganda from a biased mass media. Sadly, too many stupid and cowardly people swallow it.

  22. I was just pointing out Grouse's nonsense. I really don't post here anymore as it's just one guy's echo chamber. I'll go back to fishing and other random stuff. I had "breakfast for dinner" - three farm eggs scrambled with a smoked chicken sausage in a wrap.

  24. That is the short version. It all takes some time to become good at it and figure things out. You can boil it to quickly or too long, filter it wrong and end up with lots of sediment, not boil it down enough and have it spoil... But it is not that hard, very much like gardening or cutting up deer. @Wny buck huntersaid it well.

  25. Ha you can buy a 1,400 round bucket for $225 online at Buds, been listed for many days now . I don’t think we’ll see full shelves in stores for maybe two years . Check this out , it’s from a small ammo maker who caters to the competitor shooter who doesn’t reload I guess. They listed 300,00 rounds of 9mm and it all sold in under three minutes ! My latest purchase was some 20 Ga slugs for my daughters 870 ( back up gun ) I requested to be notified when they came in , last October, and got notified last week , a good five months later . Oh and they had a whole 29 boxes, I took five not wanting to be greedy . Oh I’m going shooting tomorrow, a couple hundred 9mm and maybe a couple dozen 00 Buck, through my Benelli, hot weather’s a coming .

  35. Oh look! It's Alex Jones! You have any proof to back up any of this? PROOF! Not you're misinformed opinions. I'm also going to tell you this and I want you to think about it, the next time you feel a need to call people cowards or anything even close, remember the loudest talking jack a$$3s on the web are usually the biggest candy @$$es out there. I already called you on that once, now I'm doing it again. Go start you revolution or w/e you want, just please STFU! I also want you to know people like you irritate me, because when I need tin foil I can never find any because you have it all wrapped around your heads. I'm starting to think papist and all his minions never left, they had this account set up in advance and take turns posting with it. They all had the same MO, talk, spew, invoke propaganda, skirt questions, and when it comes time to nut up they got nuthin'.

  37. Assuming we're talking about a compound bow? Probably how your using your release. If you're able to video yourself or have someone watch you, assuming your moving the release at the time you're letting the arrow fly. Nice soft, but firm squeeze on the release and not a hard or jerking motion. Probably a stupid question & just out of curiosity, are you using your dominant eye? I know people that are right handed, but have a dominant left eye. Assuming you don't have this same problem with scopes or shotguns.

  42. Had a great day my buddy got a huge male 12 to - 15lbs. Hooked way more than I landed . I started out swinging with the spey rod . Love the ferocious take of fresh chrome on the swing . Late in the day I was working the pin through a deep narrow channel when I picked up a brute.. After a long fight I was trying to muscle the fish into a ledge where I could land her and I committed the cardinal sin of reaching up the rod and applying pressure snapping my rod losing the fish . Still was a great trip and now I have a brand new pin rod . I think its time to find a net .

  44. The turkey population is pretty healthy in the area, deer are in up and down depending on winters and the bear population has plummeted over the last 18 months from what I see. None seems to know why but they dropped in numbers. Last spring I was chain sawing in my yard and shut off the saw, within about two minutes a gobbler strutted by me while I was sitting on a log, gobbling away the whole time. He wasn't a jake either, he had no fear..down by Piseco there was a gobbler last spring almost every time I passed through sitting on the guide wire proud as could be... Drive safe...

  45. That's one, not most. Rarely are the general public involves in stopping mass shootings. Great comeback, name calling. Just like a Democrat. If that's your idea of intelligence, then you are the idiot. I take it back, that would give idiots a bad reputation.
