Not much of a turkey hunter, took this Tom in one of my plots, he was tending 3 hens in full strut, 9" beard.

Well we got a call today from my Sister in law who has cocker spaniels for breeding. One of her 8month old females doesnt do well around a bunch of other dogs so she doesnt want to breed her shes not aggressive just acts out and she doesnt want to pass the blood line down. However she gets along great with kids and cats if shes the only dog. So we are adopting her and only deal was we need to get her fixed. So next Friday we will be brining Mila home.

My father sent me a pic of the “Northern” he caught... I let him know it was a pickerel. And a nice one! 4lb 12oz and 25 in.

Pot call kits I put together, I had to do all the sanding, sprayed down with wood sealer then pre-catalyzed clear lacquer, then I glued in the soundboards and finally the striking surfaces. Well this was the first one and it turned out better than I thought it would, I feared I had used to much glue. It is a Laminated Maple - Walnut - Yellowheart call with Lasered 3" Cherry Sound Board. The second one is a Cedar-Walnut-Maple Pot with glass soundboard and purple slate striker surface. Was able to put the redneck in place, great blind. Bought pallet forks for my tractor bucket and placed that blind right on the stand. Was quite easy thank God!!!

I’m so glad I met with a consultant. The meeting was very educational. He actually lives nearby to my place and had pictures from the 60’s and 70’s of my property I was blown away. Then I get into why we have no oak trees in the area and he starts telling me about glaciers during the ice age and how it still affects areas with growth was very interesting. To say the least I’m very impressed and most likely be moving forward in the process.

Neighbors are having a raging bonfire complete with a DJ. it’s a loving memory of his wife who just died of cancer at 39-40 years old. I graduated with her in 1999. She leaves behind twin daughters. One of the guests came over to make sure they where not bothering us and I said absolutely not! Carry on into the night and don’t worry about making any noise. New Lib Monument

Finally got into some fish on this little creek I’ve been trying to get too. The water is low around here. I caught three of these(browns) and one beautiful brook trout, but I don’t have a net it wiggled out of my hand. I had fun except for the black flies they where relentless even with my bug suit and spray. I don’t know the name of it but this was the fly I was using. I dropped one on a brown wooly bugger. Hi Cynthia and Blackbeltbill just got home to Long Island. It was amazing meeting you guys and blackbeltbill can’t thank you enough for the impromptu lesson, I could pick your brain all day. I’m going to practice at work today. Heard a gobbler today going off.... never came by my decoys or me. When I left my spot I ran into him 5 feet off the road. Went up to camp today cut the grass then took a short walk in the woods....Found 4 ticks on me ...Be careful ..........Just a heads up....

So I was installing some handlebar riser’s on my quad and found a hummingbird nest under my headlight and dash readout . We bought our quads used and have always stored them inside, so it must be from the previous owner. There were three egg ‘s in it and I stuck my finger in and touched 2 and they disintegrated . The second photo you can see the 1 tiny egg left .

I have a few clothes set aside that i wear out in the woods that are treated with permethrin ,that stuff works really well.

Well Last night was uneventful not even a bit. We wanted to fish our normal spot at buck pond campground in onchiota but no waterfront campsites available. So we found a nice spot on franklin falls outside of bloomingdale. Was all set up by 8pm fire poles and lanterns cant forget the ruby red kolsh's. We fished till 11 not one bite but it was a beautiful night loons sounding off. When I catch em I either hog dress bullhead or I just get the boneless filets. I prepare them with flour and old bay fish seasoning and deep fry them. We make fish tacos with them or eat them like a perch fry. I've also used them in a fish chowder too. I need to find em before the water warms up. Last year I started in mid april and fished through memorial day. Ive been laid up do to injuries so last night was the first time this year. June 15 frogging season.

Went for quick hike this morning on public, there was a bird that wanted to die on the mountain. He gobbled 50 times from the roost and was still gobbling as I was headed back to the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Grass is mowed... now it’s beer time!

Was a grind again today. Thought for sure this morn when I hit the water it's was gonna be a limit in an hour day. Got a couple , a few shorts, kept getting hits but they weren't really taking it well. Still great to be on the water.

Another couple and some perch. Had 3 more perch, but wasn't keeping any til I got a walleye to clean. Never had a hit the first hour. Fish on the graph in 29 fow but no hits. Then tried 38 ft, nothing, 32, nothing, 27 a couple perch. Almost ready to bag it and got a short. Kept fishing and got to 21 ft. Got 3 shorts, 2 keepers, had one cut me off and 4 perch in about an hour. But time to go and that was good enough.

It was $2.50 a few days ago. It’s a wild ride. It was only 10 cents few months ago. $2 was the goal for year end but now I want $10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

We've had cocker spaniels little cousins, cavalier King Charles. Great dogs. Looking forward to seeing pics once you get her home.

Well found a new project not as old as the willys but a 1995 Chevy k1500 with plow and 5.7,silverado.. 22610 original miles been off road since 2002..⁸easy fix up ,new rear bumper, tires ( dry rot) and a few exhaust leaks.. only vehicle I own with no lights on on dash...lol.. couldn't pass it up. For 1k.
