  1. I've been installing flagpoles for 9 years now. I've done a bunch of 80' poles actually just did one yesterday in Bath NY at GoodRich Auto. Today I installed the largest aluminum flagpole that the manufacturer makes. It's a 110' pole 10' in the ground 100' exposed. We did this one in Hamburg at West Herr at the corners of Camp and Southwestern. I temporarily raised the 20x30 flag to make sure everything was good then took it off until Mondays Flag day ceremony.

  3. Back when I was a young fellow I went on a scout merit badge excursion with a friend of mine. We went on a hike and the deal was he had to start a camp fire and cook a simple meal which was to be bacon and scrambled eggs. His dad made sure he had all the latest gear including the mess-cooking kit, the thing that really caught my eye and impressed me was his Boy Scout knife in the Hobo style, bottle opener, spoon, knife and fork. I thought that was about the neatest knife I had ever seen and thought to myself some day I am going to have me one of those knives. Well that was over 60 years ago and the Hobo Boy Scout knife was long since forgotten. That was until the recent edc knife thread got me poking around on ebay to see what would catch my fancy. Lo and behold I just happened to come across a USA Case made Boy Scout Hobo knife, it was easy to press the buy it now button, took awhile but I finally got one. Al

  11. Thank God that doesn't include scientists. I don't know how many have been keeping an eye on the emerging situation with the new drug that's targeted at Alzheimer's Disease, but as of last night, three of the FDA's scientific advisory panel board members (including from places like Harvard) quit over the drug having been approved, despite their informed guidance to the contrary. It isn't effective, and the data shows it. Somebody has their hand in the honeypot. At $50K a year cost, and with the drug being targeted at early AD, so the patients would require treatment for the rest of their lives, the company that developed the drug stands to make bank. Big difference from the vaccine. Scientists' jobs are literally to question everything...and some of us are willing to take an ethical stand when the facts don't line up.

  12. Their gonna keep the flag off of it until Monday at 1 when they have their ceremony. There's a 3' diameter goldball on top of the pole with a eagle with a 4' wrong span on top of the gold ball.

  13. Not exactly live but we had a great day yesterday on Oneida lake. It was actually cool on the water and overcast. Three person limit in about 4 1/2 hrs. We all had fun; especially my daughter who hasn't fished in quite some time.

  14. Thanks everyone! It’s been a good day. I put my little boat in the Seneca River and caught about 14 fish. Two good LM bass, a few big rock bass and some pan fish. All in all a good day.

  16. My range at home has been pretty silent in over a year. While I have a good supply, it hurts to replace stuff at 2X what I originally paid.

  18. I was skeptical myself from the get-go as to our ability to generate an effective vaccine at all, much less inside of a year. This on the heels of decades of research working to develop an HIV vaccine, coupled with the inability to cure the common cold lol. Viruses are tough. But the collaboration between pharma and academia coupled with the government's willingness to cut the red tape made it possible. I am frankly still amazed, but thankful nevertheless for my initial take to be dead wrong.

  19. Wolf is literally the most garbage ammo I've ever had the misfortune of shooting. Every shot jamming in my multi thousand dollar pistols. It's built for commie guns and those honestly are the only ones that should shoot it #WeDemandUnlimitedLikes #WeDemandADislikeButton

  20. Why not? Despite the actual CF that Trump was, there were some good decisions made in both the current and prior administrations to facilitate and deliver the vaccines. I'm a fair guy.

  27. With What nys is in he process of passing I give it 6 months to a year and ammo will be really hard to find right along with gun parts...they are making gun shops liable for what people do with ammo after they purchase and banning all unregistered gun parts that you can get and making gun makers liable

Now I have issues , oh not to bad but no longer one smooth motion . I can’t turn to see as well and can’t always see the damn trailer from the new car/ truck . Oh I’m still better then you guys though !

  38. My sister is going in on a boat with a friend. Some old beat up thing that I'm sure they will regret purchasing. Neither one has ever owned a boat. Neither one has ever backed up a trailer before. They work Monday-Friday, 9-5 jobs and are not morning people so they will be launching the boat during the weekend choas. I tried to talk her out of it but she insisted. I told her the least that she can do for me is let me know when and where they plan on launching for the first time so I can show up with a lawn chair and a cooler full of beer to watch. P.S. they do at least have the common sense to take the boating course to at least learn a little bit about what they are getting into.

It was great to see all the guys again and meet Lomax, Jason and Tacks buddy Larry. Also, thanks to Jerry for making a quick guest appearance. Sorry to hijack your journal Rob.
