Sooo excited for this to be happening. Always wanted a pond back here and its reality. The farmer has for years tried to move this rock and could never get it to budge...only the top 1ft was exposed, crazy big boulder. Ill have more pics to go along as more progress happens.

Got out for a short bit. Lots going on this weekend. One thing got cancelled so we have time to get out on the lake. Threw back 5-6 shorts. But 4 keepers. Not a bad day.

Late Fathers Day/early birthday present. After looking at a few scopes, settled on a 3-9x50 with illuminated reticle. I liked the Hoghunter, but it seemed oversized for my needs (targets out to 200 yards and the occasional dumb coyote). It came with a bubble level… anyone use one of these? I understand the theory behind it, but I don’t know if I’m good enough or shoot far enough to warrant keeping it on.

My grandparents always used to use pie tins.would tie em up with a piece of twine along perimeter. Not sure if that was just for deer or other pests?seemed to work though

When did all of this crime start to really occur ? Before or After they defunded the police and passed Bail reform ? Cuomo gave his nod to the mayors to not enforce the laws that are on the books already. Cuomo defunded the police and took away anti crime units, the main units for removing firearms from the streets. Who's going to enforce the scary new executive order laws, if they can't/don't enforce the old laws ? Social workers ? Crisis counselors ? Something clearly does need to be done and it starts with getting rid of Gov Cuomo and his cronies that have put the citizens of NY at risk, because they made this happen ! First, Bring back the anti crime/gang units. Second, Enforce any freaking law and put said criminals in jail. When you have no one to pull triggers, bullets will stop killing innocent people.

Does anyone have any great bowhunting tips to consider when Hunting Whitetail from treestands? What are some good tactics to get whitetail close to the area? How high should I place my stand in the tree in order to not have to worry about the wind and my scent? How long should I wait after taking a shot on a deer in order to begin tracking? Any suggestions to these questions and other helpful tips?

Me and the family are heading Watkins Glen State Park to tent camp for a few days at the end of August. We want to finish out the week camping at another NYS Park with in a 4-5 hr drive of the Glenn. We want to stay in a pet friendly cabin. Any recommendations? We've done Allegheny and letchworth a bunch looking for somewhere new.

"Style stock" that is, picked up this little CZ 455 22 with a beautiful fiddleback Turkish walnut Mannlicher Stock at a price I could not refuse, one of those deals that I have always wanted and finally got around to getting. Had a good Japanese vintage Simmons 22 mag scope laying around and mounted it up and bore sighted her. The Tactacam Reveal has a “check-in” option that takes and sends a picture every 12 hours when enabled.

Is there confirmations that cell cams “count” as checking your traps every 24 hours? Is there a way for cell cams to be set to take a pic at a certain time each day regardless of activity to ensure it’s functioning? Ideally it could be set for a 7am and 7pm pic giving you time to get there if it malfunctions or shows a trapped critter. I would think that would satisfy the criteria, but I know nothing about how those cell cams work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is one of those days when if you look close enough, you can see the corn grow. Warm temperature, plenty of sunshine, and 4 inches of rain on Thursday, makes for some fast growth. My back 2 acres (1st pic) is looking real good, I would cal it arm-pit high. It should make well over 200 bushels. Front two acres, planted just two weeks later (second pic), not so hot. I will be lucky to get 50 bushels from that. As long as some lasts until the Holiday ML season, that's good enough for me. The recent rain gave me a chance to finish the rear rim change on the old 8n. That was a tough job. Those 70 year old bolts did not want to break loose, and it was tough getting the beads loose on the rusted out rim. As a side benefit, the kids got a bigger fire pit now, from the old rusted out rim. They got to wait for me to finish tearing the old barn down before they can use the new 12 foot concrete one. That little one setting on the edge of that is the cut off compressor tank one that they had been using and complaining about because it is too small.

Spent a lot of time tent camping back in the day at WG, we’d bring a couple 30 packs and drink all freaking weekend without a care in the world! To answer your question I think there is a buttermilk falls not to far away. Never been but look it up!

Stop using the term "gun violence". As if guns caused violence. If all guns disappeared from the planet, would violence disappear? Of course not. Violence in any form is bad, and if all guns disappeared violence would probably increase. I notice everywhere Constitutional carry has been approved, crime drops like a rock. Guns are not the problem, no matter what BS Andy pushes. The fact he pushes any executive order aimed at guns proves he isn't concerned about fixing the problem. He's concerned about eliminating guns. Most states that have fixed their crime problems have found a very simple fix for it. They stopped voting for Democrats. This is where you will learn how this will affect responsible gun owners. "The Democrat said he’s launching an office on gun violence prevention to collect data from the state’s major police departments. And he said a new Governor’s Council on Gun Violence Reduction will come up with recommendations to address gun violence."

The town street cleaner went down my street today, maybe it's just me but, I think it would work better if it actually cleaned the street! It just pulls the crap away from the curb and leaves it in the street! I suppose it might keep the crap from getting into the storm sewer, but with heavy rain predicted it will still wash into the sewers! To top it off, the street cleaner went up and down the street 3x's!!

We landed 10 smallmouth total, out on the upper Niagara river, before the rain this morning. The problem was, 6 of them were 11 - 11-7/8 inches long, so they got to go back. The 4 14 - 16 inch ones were not so fortunate. We lost at least as many as we landed. They are fighting a ton more now, in the 70 degree water, than they were out there on opening day, when it was 63. I had to set up a fish cleaning station, under the porch of the pole barn, to stay out of the torrential downpours that struck after we got home. At least I wont have to water the plants this evening.

I think we can all agree gun violence and shootings needs to stop. But how can one sue the manufacturer of the gun that was used in such acts ? That is like me suing Ticonderoga pencils after my daughter writes the wrong answer on a test .

Just listen to the Capt of major Crimes . Every city I cop I know which is more then a few ,feel the same way , they’re demoralized, hesitant to to be pro active . We’ve demoralized the cops and emboldened the shit birds ,the result is carnage . Bail reform , legal pot , they used to get a lot of illegal guns of traffic stops where they smelled pot , not anymore . RPD is way short staffed and nobody wants the job anymore . There’s 50 out on suspension, most have been cleared of all charges ,but the mayor won’t let them come back . No cop will risk their pension as they no there’s no backing from the city , so this is what we get . Currently it’s a drug gang war , using infantry tactics, that sometimes takes out innocent bystanders ,like the two at the East End . I always was comfortable on any street at any time ,on or off duty, today I just won’t go in the city anywhere ,Park Ave, nowhere and I’ve upped my carry .
