Up until yesterday I haven't gotten anything bigger than a 4pt on cam this year. I've had a big 8 pt on camera the past 3 years and I'm guessing this is him again this year. He grows a smaller kicker off of one side every other year and if this is him again he's now a 9pt with a kicker. This buck hands around from mid July to mid October reach year and is gone again until the next year.12 points

Anyone been there , taking the family there for a weeks vacation. Sitting in Albany Airport as we speak. First time on a plane since the pandemic. Everyone in here wearing masks ,decent amount of security. Our beach house is right on the water, myself and kids are pumped to go fishing wife pumped to work on her tan. Can't wait for a cold beer and sun . Then its time to focus on this coming hunting season .4 points

To be honest, when I pull the trigger on the first loaded round THAT will answer your question. Last night when I decided "tonight's the night" I was kind of nervous. I kept some OK notes and records so felt comfortable after getting everything out and on the bench. I have a cheat sheet of the basic moves in the order I've used over the years. After work today I charged 5 cases for the initial test loads, all 43 grains making for a pretty mild load, as seen above for RL15. I've used 44gr of RL15 in the TSX but it's been years. Everything should be peachy.....4 points

Here is my 3 year old "spike" we call the devil buck he has always just been a spije that looks more like an impala , bit heavier this year and trying to grow some junk, always disappears just before season. Love for him to die...he did have almost brow bumps last year as well..3 points

A very rare sight in my neck of the woods and when they are seen this is the type of setting they are found, close to buildings and Humans. Went out my back door and spotted this one ducking under a shed, I filled his hole with rocks and yelled into the hole if he wants to stay alive he had better use his back entrance which if protected by fencing. If he keeps coming out onto the lawn my Airedale will get him for sure, that is what happened to the last one seen around here about ten years ago. Well I looked out the kitchen window and he dug his way past the rocks and gave me the finger, oh well.3 points

All this rain is taxing your sump pump if you have one. Maybe you don’t have one……lucky you?!?! Keep an eye on things down in your basement for the next day or two if you’re getting the rain we are. Wet basements are no fun…..2 points

This pic with the kicker is from 2019 and the pic without the kicker is from 2020. I can't find the pic from 2018 but he he was a big typical 8 without the kicker than.2 points

Mine, from Home Depot, is about 3 years into its 5 year warranty. They usually last me 3 to 4 years. I have a cheap ac backup, ready to go in the pit, in case it fails. I keep the box it came in handy, along with the sales receipt to ease the exchange at Home Depot when it fails. I had a water backup sump pump during the October storm, but since we also lost most of our city water pressure during that storm, it only added to the flooded basement. I wont make the mistake of relying on one of those again. I have also had poor results from a battery backup. I keep my generator tuned u and ready to go in case we loose power. Thanks for the reminder Lary, I am going down to check it out right now. I don't ever remember a summer day with this much rain. I just got back from the Hardware store where I got a new plug for my new rowboat. I also found a set of oars for it that I had misplaced. If this rain keeps up I may need that to get to the market for food and beer.2 points

I don't have a sump pump, but twice in the past 3 yrs I had water in the basement. Not a lot, as I've got a drain in the floor. I also put in a french drain 30' in front of the house to move the water coming off the hill before it gets to the house. It's helped immensely.2 points

Bill, just tune into Grouse's posts and you'll hear the same drivel. First it was Mr VJP, then Rattler and now Grouse. I think they are all 2nd cousins. LOL2 points

Looks great. I made some of that a couple years ago and it was pretty tasty. This year I am making a moonshine sausage it's called. A lot like the maple blueberry but with some dried cranberries etc.1 point
