  1. We have our young brother Tilahun “T” staying with us. He is from Ethiopia and receiving treatment for cancer here in Rochester. Decided to order some of his home cuisine tonight. Had to eat with our hands like they do in Ethiopia. You basically use the “bread” to pick up the food. It was pretty darn good I must say. Never tried Ethiopian before. That said, T is now hooked on cheeseburgers. Lol

  2. I dropped my better half off at the airport Tuesday morning for the start of her 17d trip to Ecuador. She made it to the equator yesterday. Yep, that's my favorite 52yo gramma doing a cartwheel between the hemispheres. And she couldn't stop talking about her awesome dinner for $8. She's flying to the Galapagos Islands today for a 6d stay then back to Quito for a week. Some people have all the fun . . . .

  5. Once again, Grouse, you are proving how screwed up in the head you are. If it were a BLM member trying to vandalize a state house somewhere you'd be OK with a police officer using deadly force if necessary in the name of freedom and liberty, right? This is my take on such matters. In my opinion a police officer has every right to use lethal force if necessary against BLM rioters trying to burn down private, city or state property and so does a Capitol police officer trying to stop a bunch of thugs from entering and vandalizing the Capitol. I don't play this idiotic political game some of you clowns play where it's OK for one side to act a certain way, but not the other side. You act like an idiot in society, you may pay a price you weren't expecting to pay. End of story.

  6. Landscape and property management is what I do. I have a 2010, 60" with about 2400 hrs. This 72” was purchased new in May of ’15. I've been nursing these along as I don't want to purchase another $14k mower. I've got 2yrs 3 tops before I retire and only keep only a few high end clients that I can complete in 2-3 days. I'll purchase a used mower at that point. Currently I've got 22 clients. I average about 16 acres mowing and trimming a week.

  7. Love trying new foods!! Best wishes to the young man! Sounds like a fine guy! And you have a great big heart my friend. I have never met you, some day. But you show us how God wants us to be there for others. We need so much more of that in this world today. When it comes down to it we are all more similar than we are different.

  8. Big uns. Fell off the vine so had to bring them in to finish the ripen. Gave them away as I already have 3 ripe ones in the house and many more to come. Good year for tomatoes.

  24. I would think once a month would be fine depending on how many hrs a week your mowing. Thankfully my zerks are on top of the spindle. Would be a PITA if I had to access them underneath.

  27. Posted 12 days ago, too. It's weird IMO, esp the reference to whitetail deer - whitetail reference seem like a midwest thing where mulies are. East coat people just normally say...deer. It's like someone on here saying I'm from New York, New York vs saying I'm from the city. Whatevs, I guess.

  30. Contact your local DEC officer/ forest ranger for recommendations. Better yet, join a local gun/hunting club. First for the range time, 2nd to meet people. Get involved with the club to meet folks. Opportunities open up... Yours (and many new hunters) situation, like most of us, is developed over time to build contacts and opportunities.

  42. I took the responsibility of coaching an 18u pal league team in buffalo. Team is spread out of buffalo public school kids that just want to play. We also have a 12 year old kid that has been hanging around So the commissioner let us have him on the team to grow the game. I’m our game this afternoon the other team that was a mix of canisus and st Francis high school were great with this kid. They have a d1 commit and he lobbed it in there and the Kid hit one up the line. Both teams went and celebrated at first with the kid. What an awesome moment. Grow the game coaches it could make so kids that never played grow into some ball players some day.

  45. Do not despair. Spring plantings are overrated when it comes to food plots for deer. I killed my best buck on our farm the one year in the last 150 when it was too wet to plant any corn. My suggestion would be a few nice big plots of wheat/soybean/white clover mix planted between Aug 25 and Sept 15.
