Moderators are MIA. The same folks that start these want us to follow their politics but can't seem to find the political section. Lol I don't care of the same 8 people try to go back and forth and never realize they won't change each other's minds, but id like to be able to get away from it, and look for it if I'm interested. I agree to a degree Mike , these guys can’t even find the political forum to post in ( hint it’s not in the general area ) . Some of my favorite forums don’t allow any political posts , or personal attacks of any kind , but then they have moderators ,who don’t mess around . I don't recall all this backlash when Trump abandoned our allies the Kurds. Literally a million people running for their lives. The double standard is amazing. Trump gave the Taliban legitimacy by negotiating a "peace treaty" with them and tried to invite them to Camp David. He allowed the release of hundreds of Taliban from Afghani jails. He wanted us out of Afghanistan and "endless wars". You think he had a better plan? Like he's some kind of military mastermind? You think he listened to military advisors? He constantly insulted them. Trump is some kind of diplomatic genius? I don't get it. He was a fake tough guy, like so many other people today who can't grasp facts or reality. You love his BS so much that you can't see the situation for what it is. Of course it could have been handled better. Of course it's sad and terrible. But it's FAKE to act like you care for the people of Afghanistan when you don't care about the Capitol police. And if any of you think you personally would do a great job as president, then you're fooling yourself. It's an awful, thankless gig. At the very least, I am convinced that Biden is actually trying to be a president, not build up his brand name and profit from the position.

I have only read part of this but I am sure I am probably in the minority. But to me it is long over due for us to get out of there. The fact that at anytime we left it wasn't going to be a mess isn't blame it on someone it's just a fact. They have been fighting there longer than all of us and our ancestors have been around and will be fighting long after. 20 years is not only enough, it was too much. We can't police them forever , it's not our country. Trump also wanted us out of there. And would have as well if he were in office. Only blame here is the afghan forces and leadership and people themselves. In every civil war there will be winners and losers. It is all messy. But to send our troops over there to be their police isn't right and hasn't been in the other middle east countries either. I am sorry for the brave troops that have fought there and died there. But it is fight you cannot win without the country wanting it. This has been proven over and over again. Do you stay for another 20 years? All we can do is if acts of agression to the US occur is to hold them accountable to get those that have done it or face us bombing them flat and never put boots on the ground there again. It's a tragedy to many of the poeple there but there is no way this wasn't gonna be a mess in 10,20,30 or 40 years. I am far far from a Biden fan and I think they botched a lot of how this could have went, but it had to happen. And when Trump was going to do it , it was still gonna be a mess. It isn't blame to place , it's cultural differences in a part of the world that mostly hates us and our way of life. We can't keep crusading and forcing it upon people that don't understand it or won't fight for it themselves. I for one am glad we are out

I participated in my first Rimfire Challenge a few days ago at my local rod and gun club, did not have a clue on the particulars and went just to see how they were shot. I have a bunch of high end rimfire rifles but they are for the most part bolt actions and I did know that in the challenge matches autoloaders that can hold ten round magazines are what are used for the most part so I took what I felt was my best suited, the Kingston Garand with open sights. So I found the shoot interesting and fun, I should have had 5 magazines for the match and while not required the match will go along much smoother without the time screwing around reloading. Also an optical sight would have speeded times some as these 73 year old eyes take a little bit of time to focus open sights. Anyhow the Garand performed great making those steel plates sing and I shot well having several clean runs out of the five I shot. So in next week's match I am a bit better prepared as I know what to do and have. I have 5 magazines with polished lips that function well and I mounted a Sig Romeo red dot that really speeds up my sighting. Al

I have 23 acres but my access rd to my barn is 400 yds off rd and surroundind property is big woods. My hemlock beech cherry woods is a pass through spot to the field area only 5 acres but loaded with apple pear.(bumper crop this year) neibor planted 10 acre corn. Im doing spot plots this year. Last year had 1 in mossy brassica kale turip mix. Ate the tops never touched bulbs till feb. Added 4 more spot plots.all hancock seed. Some half pure diakon 2 clover one pure hancock Brassicas radish kale rape. Steve bartyla said spot plots allow less buck stress than one big plot regarless of plant. Lets face it.. bucks dont want to get into a bar fight every night just to get a meal. So testing hancocks seed seperated plots my soil prep is great .just planted 8/16. Lets follow the progress

I have no problem with leaving that lawless, godforsaken s-hole. My only issue is in HOW it's being handled. Americans and collaborators are still there. Collaborators are being hunted down and executed already, along with their immediate families. Horrifying. Why would anyone in that situation ever help us again? Also, we are diminished in military effectiveness by the way this all looks. Again, by HOW this is happening. China just issued a statement to Taiwan that pointed to Afghanistan and basically said we would abandon Taiwan if China invades. Wouldn't this be a perfect time for China to try to reunify Taiwan, and Russia to invade the Ukraine. They must certainly feel emboldened. And while I'm enjoying this thread, it belongs in the political section.

I was walking the woods yesterday looking at my overgrown trails and shooting lanes when I came to a spot with an old hollowed out blow over that was literally humming almost sounding like a large electrical generator plant of some sort. On a closer look I could see the air around this dead tree was a blur of movement with what possibly had to be thousands of hornets or some other nasty species on this log. I didn't stick around to identify, just cleared the area. On a side note we are coming up to that time of year when bees and hornets become very aggressive. I've had on more than one occasion been seen running thru the woods punching myself in my own face screaming like some kind of nut in a swarm of bees.

what's crazy is MSU deer lab did a study to see if you could buy a bunch of Four Seasons freakishly big whitetails and release them into the wild to grow big bucks in the free range herd. even did a simulation so show (if you if could ever afford it) to replace 50% of the buck herd with these deer. it gave you an average increase of 12 inches in antlers after 10 years but imagine the cost of buying say 1,000 of these farmed deer?! hahaha... it's crazy to think how much negligible stress and optimum year round nutrition and age can allow genetics to express their full potential when inside a fence. in a free range herd they've even said it takes multiple years/generations of quality food for for genetic expression. not something you'd want to do but I wonder what would happen if you fed them mediocre food typical to what a free range deer would see. I bet they'd still be massive but nothing close to what they would be otherwise.

This is 100 percent on him ! Biden turned his back on our allies and showed all our allies we can’t be trusted ! Wr shouldn’t be surprised , Biden has NEVER been correct on any foreign policy ideas in his entire sad failed career !

But with a solid plan in place and working thru the advise of the generals, not the way this idiot did it ! We will be sending more troops over there 100 percent on that ! Biden is a joke ! Give a prepared speech and go back into hiding at Camp David … Biden claims he inherited this from Trump … well he inherited a stay in Mexico plan from Trump and he reversed that !
