Day 1: left home at 2:30am, and stopped in Saco for breakfast. After breakfast we zoomed up the last 3 hrs up to the house. Unloaded, and took the X3 to lunch on the water. I just had a burger, and fries. I was so hungry, and thirsty that I had a pounding headache. I try not to drink too much water while traveling on a trip of this length, so it gives me a headache, but as I ate, the headache cured. After late lunch/early dinner, we took my truck to get groceries, and after that we went back out in the X3 to attempt finding a cabin we might rent. Lastly, we took the X3 on a nice trail up to a B52 plane crash site.

The price for a regular cam is absurd but the Reconyx is such a performing brand. They need to dive into the cell game even more than they are right now. Hoping they can survive the market and continue to make good cams.

Was In Maine yesterday afternoon for a beach/seafood visit.

Also, I brought a Spypoint Link Micro to stash someplace on a moose trail! I am really excited for that, if I get a moose pic, it would be extremely exciting for me.

Why not keep the German Blaser theme going ? I started long ago with the R93 30-06 std and 308 semi weight barrels after trying one out at a higher end gun shop, but sold it as I do a lot of deer driving and got tired of the loading/unloading process. I compete/hunt with a Tac2 and hunt with an R8, which are much easier to load/unload than the R93. I'm a southpaw and both are set up with LH bolt housings. Once you shoot a straight pull, turn bolts seem antiquated. R8, multi barrels and your all set.

I'm not sure how to go about this. My father gave me a bunch of camo clothing and said do what I want with it as his turkey hunting/bow hunting days are done. Some things have sizes but most don't. 34-36 waist x 30-32 length pants, jackets are XL. All are cotton and pretty lightweight. If you have a son or know a boy that could use these items, send me a PM. I'll ship them or if your local we could meet somewhere. @rachunter: I bought my Pietta at Cabelas and just left with the gun and the receipt from the cash register. I went to the Erie County Permit Office to have it added to my permit and they had no idea what to do. They were also very concerned that I possessed the gun without it being on my permit. I wound up having to go back to Cabelas a few days later to get the purchase paperwork they usually give with a modern handgun purchase. Where it says "NICS check," they just wrote "N/A." I took that back to the office and they were very concerned about why no NICS check was performed. Finally, two supervisors later, they understood what I was trying to do and added it.

Terrific travel rifle, shot a fair amount out of a pile of different barrels. Favorites are a 270 win,300wby, and a 28ga. All three have been packed more then a few times for a hunt. That'd be my one gun.

Human nature and age will ruin a group of people quickly. People always fighting about stands, size of animals to be shot, even as petty as chore weekends. We had a family club up at Barney Pond in the Colton area and went thru it all. That place imploded from within. Now it’s much easier with 1000 acres and the ability to bring friend , family on for a hunt or two. When you have great hunting land friends and family are never very far away it seems Sad that the old days of hunting camp will never be again for most.
