  1. Hey thanks. Sore throat is gone, still have slight headache and congestion. If I think back when this all started it was Monday morning. Tested positive Wednesday morning so today is day 4. Hopefully it's all going in the right direction!

I saw the flash of 2 tails heading up the horse trail . Apparently , I was a minute late as 2 bucks were on my camera on the horse trail . Bucks 2:03 pm --- Me 2:04 pm .

  4. Well.......since so many people I know are now coming down with Covid. Both at work, and my private life. I think it would be prudent to hold off on any GTG for the immediate time being. Will see what the situation is in a few weeks. Not canceling this GTG! Just postponing it for just a little bit. My hope is that delaying a little bit, will make for a better turn out!

  6. Okay, got to step in here. You will not test positive for COVID if you have the common cold. Absolutely, 100% untrue. I'm assuming you knew that any are just throwing fuel on the fire. Nice play lol. And for all of those who think that keeping a pandemic going somehow benefits financially, that just doesn't make sense. There are so many big leaguers losing money hand over fist that if $$ were the primer motivator, it would have been over 18 months ago. Now, if you want to talk about the reins of power, mandates, etc..that's a different story lol.

  10. no yellow onions led me to a red onion version of stew... substitute venison for beef and Genny beer (on hand) for ale and use the crock pot and off we go!. Plus I get to finish off the beer at 9:30AM - a loop hole roughly based on this: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1021592-hearty-beef-stew-with-red-onions-and-ale

  13. Alien overlords? Early in 2020, I had a cable guy come by my cabin to hook up my high speed. He started in on Gates - how this was his master plan to control the population. I pointed out that Gates had something like 130 billion dollars which in terms of time is 3100 years of seconds - a million seconds being 12 days and a billion seconds being 31 years - so while he could afford to buy a few small countries or have any number of people killed, he's probably just trying to do some good here and there with his money while slurping champagne of some young maiden's nipples. And laughing. Try to stay off topic please.

  14. That's a fun idea but no material donations or "go fund me" please...there are a lot of others who are worse off than me. Just wanted to tap (no pun intended) your potential sources to buy some things to get back on track. Thanks to all for your help, I have some promising leads! If you have wood stoves in your camps, sheds, man caves, etc., I urge you to regularly clean and inspect the pipes, etc., especially where the pipe leaves the structure. As a trapper, I hear of many trapping sheds that start on fire...very sad! ...even though the traps are made of steel, if the fire doesn't melt the traps, it ruins the strength of the trap springs. Again, thanks for the replies! Take care! PS. some photos of how I want to remember Bone Creek Sugar Shack - good times with family and friends!!

  15. Looks like I'll be able to make it to PA Saturday so after I wake up today I'm getting my gear set and shooting my bow a couple times. I'll also shoot it friday just to make sure nothings changed. Then I'll be on the road first thing Saturday morning and in a tree by 530 since I'm hoping to beat everything back to the swamp before they bed. Hoping for a late season buck.

  28. Dino, so sorry to see this, especially after all your hard work and craftsmanship on that structure. I’m with Biz -I’d buy a few buckets for you if you have a source. Maybe a GoFundMe is in order? Theres a hardware store not too far from me that specializes in maple syrup equipment. I’ll call tomorrow and see what they have as far as buckets go.

  29. Thought Id reach out here, I recently acquired this 22-250 Browning X Bolt Medallion with Boss Brake. I am not used to higher end firearms, I typically buy cheap ones so I don't worry about dings or scratches and such.. I did a little research on the Boss Brake System and it seems pretty neat, especially for being nearly 30 years old now. I know There are some very knowledgeable folks here.. So my question is, Does this Brake system really do as they say, and make all ammo shoot great from this gun? I see you dial the brake to the number associated with the catalog, with that bullet weight and caliber. Then add a click/hash mark, shoot a group and keep adjusting one mark per group in the same direction until group starts breaking up, then bring it back once? The system sounds legit, but I dont know enough about barrel harmonics, to know if all ammo appropriate per twist rate, can be tuned that well? Kind of a interesting system.. Just looking to know more about it.. Also, with the muzzle brake on it it would make it even louder when fired in hunting scenarios.. Im not a fan of that. This rifle has a Leupold 3-9x50 I believe .. I'm curious as to what's the gun/scope combo is worth. A local gun shop offered me 1150$ for it as it sits. Not sure if I'm going to hold on to it or not.. Thanks in Advance..

  30. https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-hochul-delivers-2022-state-state Sounds like New Yorker’s will still suffer from being some of the highest taxed people in America to pay for Governor Hochul’s “dream”. Here are Governor Hochul’s specifics on combating “people violence”: https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-hochul-announces-three-part-agenda-prevent-and-reduce-gun-violence-and-violent-crime Nothing new from someone who embraces many of Cuomo’s polices. Again, nothing about attacking the major common denominator associated with “people violence”, the distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs where a firearm is used. Also bring real discipline to public schools. There is a need for the creation of reform schools to remove uncivilized youths whose actions disrupt and deny the many who want to learn in a safe environment. Those youths who are not getting proper discipline at home to help them grow to become good contributing citizens to prevent them from becoming criminals will get it at reform school. Hocuhl supporting term limits, but not for all: https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-hochul-announces-plan-institute-term-limits-and-outside-income-ban-statewide-elected Does not go far enough. All elected politicians should be limited to two terms.

  35. This isn't a hidden thing either. One of the nurses didn't come to our new years party because she didn't want others to get sick but she had to work that same day. I'm not a anti Vax guy or anything like that. I'm simply telling you a fact of what's going on from numerous people who work in hospitals. I'm guessing I'm wasting my time it seems your the type to believe only what you want to. Lol why would somebody make this stuff up, what do I have to gain? Guys like you Crack me up.

  43. Sorry to hear….. I have 5/16 tubing, but no buckets. Bascom has used aluminum for 5 bucks each in stock. You should call them, they often have folks offering trade in stuff, and if they have someone interested they will call you before putting on sale in the warehouse.

  44. I always do my own oil changes, Im wanting to learn more about turning wrenches on my vehicles to save money and be more self sufficient so lately ive been tackling a few larger repair projects as well. If my garage was heated I would be doing my U joints currently but I really hate the idea of freezing my butt off while doing work on my vehicle. I also cleaned and rebuilt my first carburetor for my snowblower last week.
