  2. Fish fry. Fish tacos . One with lettuce, roasted red peppers and baby Ray's horseradish sauce,. One with pico. Bought the pico rather than make it. 11 hour day at work was enough.

  3. What did Trump do for Putin beside respecting another world nuclear power? I may have missed it. What I did see was Trump sanctioning Russia and Biden later removed the sanctions. I also saw the news telling me Trumps was a Russian asset and 30 million tax dollars spent that didn’t find proof of this. Still waiting on Adam Schiffs “ample evidence of collusion” he said he had.

  4. Chef, I'm not sure you understand what "Democracy" is. We are not a Democracy, we're a Representative Republic limited by the US Constitution. There is great danger in supporting politicians who tell you they are insuring Democracy, because that would mean they ignore the Constitution and the Rule of Law. If you look into it, you will find Democrats do it all the time in order to expand their power over the people, while telling you they are working to make your life better. That's where the threat of dictatorship is coming from. I never saw Trump come close to being a dictator. I saw him constantly working to expand individual freedom and liberty while restricting government power to it's Constitutional limits. If I'm missing something here, tell me.

  7. Saw this pic from the '50s on the Oneida lake Diehards site. Ice fishing derby and then sled dog races. Kinda neat. Def different times.

  8. And that right there is why I stay off of the ice. I went through on a sled once and lost one of my best friends to an ice related mishap about 5 years ago. If I never step foot on ice with more than 3 feet of water under it again, it will be too soon.

  12. They work well enough that 1hr after I put them in I can go the whole work day without readers. And I read a lot. Not quite as clear for really small print (like 5pt font) as readers but not an issue for the most part. My biggest problem is forgetting to use them before work. To Tacos comment, since they do reduce pupil size, your regular vision may not be as good in low light. That’s not been an issue for me so far nor have the drops impacted my distance vision.

  21. I get what you're trying to say. You're trying to say that because ford makes 800k trucks a year, that they'll get more issues due to shear numbers. And due to Toyota only selling about 100k trucks a year, they'll have less due to less volume. Decent thinking, but you cant just look at trucks if you're going to do that. You have to look at both companies as a whole. As a whole Toyota vehicles are better than ford vehicles when it comes to reliability. We're not just saying Toyota makes more reliable trucks, were saying they make more reliable vehicles. Toyota does not focus on trucks so using the truck only sales numbers is not comparing apples to apples. If you want to look at numbers, Toyota makes more vehicles and with less issues than ford. Your only argument is completely flawed because if you want to look at the big picture, it only supports what literally everyone here is trying to say. The reason for looking at all vehicles instead of just trucks is Ford really only sells trucks. So trucks is the whole picture for Ford, but trucks is not the whole picture for Toyota. To be apples to apples you have to look at everything if you want to bring numbers into it. So by your own words, Toyota should have a lot more issues than ford due to volume...except it does not.

  22. THE HALF MILE BUCK...last day archery at camp. Crossbow stand. 15 ft up. Watching 3 does for 15 minutes eating beech nuts. 20 minutes till end of bow. 3 more does trot under tree followed by grunting 7 point. He gets right in the mix and I sent the rage tipped bolt into his heart. He hops all 4.s off the ground straight up runs 50 yds stops looks back trots away. Bam last minute buck. Get down immediate blood in snow I follow 30 yds steady blood spots 10 inches to either side of tracks. All good right. Short 10 minute walk to camp. Get better flashlight. Back on tracks. 3 inch snow blood continues. No bending over needed. Buck beds 80 yds blood under heart. He's not there. 80 yds bed 2. Not there. Goes another 80 to cut corn. Crosses corn (200yd) I say we'll don't push he'sdead in golden rod. In morning I'll hunt opening day as long as I can hold out and get em. 2hrs later us three take up the trail. Steady blood into 4ft goldenrod. Bloody bed 10 yds. Another. 8 in total in a 50 ft circle. No buck. Blood trails heading towards ol man sullivans house.hes got 1/3 acre scrub between his house and rd. He comes out I give him the skinny tell him he's gotta be dead in that scrub.3 guys 2 shotguns and a pistol. Like we're gonna need that right. 30 yds in we find him buried in a willow tangle ALIVE. He's.looking for his escape route. He's 50 yds from sullivans porch. Hmm boy's I'm going to warn him we're gonna shoot. When I yell plug him with pistol. He's 10 yds from shooter. I'm on sullivans porch. Tell him he gets dog in house I yell GO bang this buck does his best superman leap hits the ground 15 ft later hauling the mail. Goes another 50 yds and folds. Blood sprays 5yds to either side making the snow look like a mass murder. You have to ask.. guess it wasn't a heart shot. Sure was pic to follow. Cut right through lower ventricle. I did trace of the track job on huntstand app after 20 hrs he made it over a half mile 10 beds. Super buck

  23. I'm all about the cameras on public right now. We do wildlife preserves around the "city" and when a big one sheds we get after it. Otherwise we leave the lease alone until mid march or I guess if cams show them shed. This is a relatively mild winter I wouldn't go into beds until may be just before turkey season. I find some sheds chasing birds for sure. I find deadhead to but usually I use those antlers for projects, finding a shed is really special to me. I may only find 10 a year.

  27. A recent 2021 study done by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education found that 66 percent of college students said they supported shouting down speakers. Shockingly, 23 percent of college student respondents support using violence to stop a speaker. Both numbers have spiked since 2020. By indoctrinating and coddling young people, American universities are breeding intolerance. We are already seeing the effects of this indoctrination. Young leftists have disavowed our founding documents and fathers, and they censor, fire, harass, and publicly slander anyone who dares think differently from them. Also: In October 2020, nine Yale professors signed an open letter decrying the "inhumane" treatment of college students during the pandemic. "Across the country, students have been blamed, snitched on, policed, sanctioned, suspended and dismissed for violations of COVID-related guidelines, including minor infractions." So what we will see in the future is a lot of hateful snitches.

  34. This morning’s workout was a slow snowshoe walk around the back 30. It looks like a quite a few deer must have survived hunting season, and are now using our place for winter food. My back 1.5 acre corn plot is nearly picked clean now, but still holding a little. The front 2.5 acre corn plot is long gone, but did not yield nearly as heavy as the smaller, back one. I kicked out just one dove, while walking thru the back one. Doves will only stay in standing corn while there are still some kernels of corn on it. All the greens are eaten off the little turnip plot next to it, and some of the bulbs are dug up. It looks like the deer are digging thru a foot of so of snow for clover in a couple spots. The heaviest deer feeding activity right now looks to be in the winter wheat, that I planted last fall (as a nurse crop with white clover), in 1.5 and 2.5 acre plots. I didn’t take a deer off this farm last year. I saw a spike, a small 4 point, a 2.5 year 8 point, and one doe, during the September antlerless season, and 3 unidentified deer during the late and Holiday ML seasons. Those three were in, or headed to that small corn plot.

  44. This is nothing but a ploy by leftists politicians to make their clueless supporters think anyone who chooses to live free and not bow to government oppression, is a danger to them all. It's a plan to divide the citizens and have the opposition vilified. This will be the model for all future govt oppression. The govt is trying to keep you "safe". Hate those who won't obey. Report them to the govt and they will be punished. Real Soviet style stuff here folks.

  46. The bulk of our family of four’s protein comes from wild game. On a good year, my venison comes in at close to $ 1 per pound, after subtracting most input costs. We were never able to approach that level raising domestic beef, pork or chickens. The best tasting wild game that I ever had, was moose tongue, on a hunt up in Quebec when I was young: Corn fed button buck liver is a close second, and I would put ruffed grouse breast in the number 3 spot. Baked Largemouth bass fillets are right up there also.
