  1. There’s a road killed doe about a mile up the road. We have a local eagle population that spend their time along the Cohocton River down the hill and I know of an active nest overlooking the river. I got these pics of them hanging around feeding on the carcass yesterday afternoon. Based on the feather color pattern and the sizes being the same, I believe the darker headed ones are golden eagles and not juvenile bald eagles. The pic of the golden in flight was the largest bird in the group. If that’s all correct, there were three bald eagles and four golden eagles in the area. I see baldies occasionally, but always single ones prior. And I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a golden for sure before this. I was able to creep up in the truck to within 100-ish yards and got these shots standing on the running boards. I did try to sneak up closer on foot, but that’s when they took flight.

  3. Well…now that we closed on our 150 acres where we are going to build our house, I need a tractor for land work…cleanup and maintenance. Going to buy the Mahindra 2660 with loader and 72 inch brush hog. Will buy a grapple bucket separately. Going brand new. I don’t want someone else’s headache. The dealer is 1.5 miles down the road. May pull the trigger Friday afternoon. I can’t rely on others and my wife and I are caged animals ready to play. We did a lot with just my side by side last summer but we need more.

  7. R1 tires are the way to go, unless you will be operating on pavement most of the time. R4 tires, that come on about 90 % of compact tractors, are far less effective on soft ground, mud, or snow.

  8. After a nice long 0.2 mile walk i stumbled across these matches side by side.. lol. I could see them at the bottom of one of my late season plots. This deer didnt show much at all during fall, until late season, he was here nearly every day bulking back. Might make the hit list this year!

  10. Most likely an immature Bald eagle. Here is a closer pic of one I took last summer . I watched them grow up all summer so I'm sure he was a young bald eagle.lol

  12. Originally I was getting the 2638 HST. My buddy who is a lifetime farmer went and looked at them for me and thought I should go bigger. So instead of 38 HP HST he recommends the 60 HP with shuttle. I went back and looked at them last night. He is probably right. For 5-6G over a lifetime I don’t want to regret going too small. Open cab for me. I don’t want to tear up a can in the woods and I like bring aware of my surroundings. I can get a soft cab for winter if I really need it.

  30. Did some public land grinding. #13, @67 miles for the year. Yesterday I Did 6 miles+ and got a pretty dandy one. Exciting that I can hunt this deer also. Time in the woods now is so key. You can see all of the sign and really cover ground before it gets super thick. Headed to some more public today, hanging cams and looking for birds.

  36. Honestly, for a day of fishing I would get a guide. Then get the card. It comes with a brochure and you'll probably pass a lake or two on your trip. Tell you what. Go to the hotdog stand in Reykjavik and order two with the works. If you don't think they're the best you've ever had, I'll refund your money. https://www.fodors.com/world/europe/iceland/experiences/news/youll-never-guess-where-i-had-the-best-hot-dog-in-the-world Sheep's head and fermented shark ... you're on your own.

  38. Little black stone fly . They are smaller like a size 16. Adults get bigger as they mature. Skitter a black cricket when they are on the water laying . Bottom 2 on left are reasonable imitations depending on size.

  40. If one GOP voter voted illegally in two states, how did the left have the gall to adamantly swear, "No voter fraud existed in the 2020 election"? Of course there was voter fraud. Every election has fraud. But there was a massive amount of it in 2020 and it was mostly directed against Trump. That is becoming more and more evident every day and the claim from the left there wasn't any fraud, is becoming less and less credible.
