Hey everyone! I took my 9 year old out for the second time so far, and he was hammering the rock bass on Oneida. He also managed to get a decent bullhead out from under the docks. He for sure out fishes me, he’s also comfortable taking most of the fish off the hook and putting them back in the water.

Started our morning across from our house with no luck. Neighbor txtd me around 6 to ask if i was out with my son behind our house, told him nope but we were making our way back there shortly. Well he was out with his daughter and had 3 jakes going like crazy, wished him and her luck and kept trying where we were. Little back story on his daughter. Her and my son are friends, same grade and started competing with each other during their first deer season last year. She got 2 doe and he got a doe and a buck. So now she is after him for turkey season, she missed 1 tom this year so far. Back to hunting...we wait 15 more minutes and started heading back to our house, we just get to our yard and hear a shot! She missed again! He called in 3 jakes and she missed. They went back to their house and my son dropped a layer and we headed back for our turn. Withinin 5 mins i had them gobbling their heads off, we set up and i instantly saw movement...its a skunk! I was hoping he would move on and not get between us and the birds, didnt want to scate the stink out of him if we got a shot. He moved on and the jakes showed up, we both called and they were gobbling at everything. They were between 20 and 25 yards when i told him to shoot. Boom! Flop, his first bird on the ground. He instantly started shaking and happy tears came. Couldnt be prouder of him, he is beyond dedicated to hunting and all that the outdoors has to offer. Cant wait for the turkey dinner tonight.

Every day is better and better, another morning if multiple gobblers all around me, I almost wish I didn't punch my second tag...... almost. Things I learned, be aggressive, don't be afraid of public land, always have fun and be aware of your beautiful surroundings! If I can make a few days near the weekend I am Pennsylvania bound. Hope I never forget these days in the woods or take them for granted.

Steel tip heavy lawn darts. You play it like horseshoes, so you did throw these toward people into an 18" ring. But I have to admit. We actually went Outside to play and ran around. And when we play guns and robbers, it was toy guns.

He accumulated guns, body armor, tactical gear, and cemented his white supremacist beliefs on the internet. No one interviewed him or monitored his behavior after his threats to shoot up the High School. Then----he drove to Buffalo... Democrats won't tell you this, they will say the problem is a rifle. Buffalo shooting suspect allegedly made threat in 2021, underwent mental health evaluation | Fox News It's also quite interesting, this shooting and the NYC subway shooting have many similarities, except for the race of the shooter, but the media and the government are addressing them completely different. In the Buffalo case the accusations of racism, hate crime and racial supremacy are blatantly professed, while the subway shooter was excused as a mental defective. We are all being groomed to believe only white folks are racist.

4/4 today and a big convincing win. The boys needed it they are now 2-8 on season...but being a new team put together only this fall they are making huge strides. Best part of today my son was chosen by the other teams coaching staff as our player of the game. This day in age when everyone gets a participation trophy these kids are hard pressed to know what it actually means to earn something . His mother and I were so proud that he has worked his butt off since November, stayed committed, and most importantly hasn't given up during some of the tough losses/learning experiences. The kid was 18. His parents failed him. Period. For whatever reason. Then every other parental figure that he came across until yesterday failed him too. Not one adult that he ever interacted with gave a shit to really get to know him to perhaps prevent this from happening. Sad.

I don't disagree. I find those people to be some of the least intelligent on the planet. Unless you're in an emergency then filling up enough to get you to the much cheaper reasonable gas is fine. But I would never use those stations as they have a history of actual price gouging and have had legal actions taken against them for such gouging. Most recently I recall being during hurricane Sandy. Probably more recently but thats the one I know of

To those asking what has happened in this country, and the whole world, I believe there is a simple answer. One that many are afraid to actually think of, so they laugh it away. I think as a people, we have accepted evil as good, and have turned all that was good into something to look down upon, or scoff at. Morals and ethics are publicly ridiculed. Family and relationships are no longer bonded by love and respect for God, or one another. Life is not valued. Hard work doesn't mean anything to people who are handed everything. Patriotism lands you on a watch list. The church is openly mocked, and satan embraced. Crime, sex & drugs all glorified by music, TV, etc. I truly believe we are in an irreversible moral decay, and heading into the biblical end times. I am a Christian, and thankful to be. Say what you will. I don't care. I'll continue trust in what I believe to be true, while we wait for all the experts tell us what's really going wrong out there.

I am old enough to remember the old push reel style mowers and the days when my Dad used to mow the lawn with the sickle-bar mower and the 8N Ford tractor once or twice a year. Gas powered mowers were for the rich folks. So this idea of paying jillions of dollars for feeding the lawn so that you're able to mow it more often is something that I can't really get into. I don't do a thing to promote it to grow faster and taller. Yes a lot of the green is because of the weeds, but I guess I really don't care. The price of fertilizer will be going through the roof, and those 5 gallon cans of gas are starting to yield a healthy dose of sticker shock, and as I get older, my time keeps getting more valuable. So I just can't get into the weed killers and the fertilizers and other lawn chemicals. If its not as green as others when August gets here....so what.

Here's the latest update on Gunner. Did some more training with him in the marsh and pond and he is coming along very well. Today I introduced him to some larger river water where he had to make some longer retrieves and he made me proud again. Kathy Hochul stated the State Police had done their job pertaining to that incident. If so, how was he able to pass a NICS check that required to purchase any firearm? I would have thought there would be some reason to pause any firearm purchase. He was only 18 so high school wasn't that long ago. By the Safe Act, any doctor can arrange to have your guns taken away. When my FIL passed away the State Police were there to collect his guns before we even had him in the ground. It amazes me as someone who's biggest violation with the law was a speeding ticket for doing 33 in a 30 has to register every few years my pistols and AR-15. These guns have never shot anything but paper.

Only a branch, some fishing line, and a sinker (which I disposed of the in the trash can). Same as last fall, I didn’t even have a bite on the jigs. Nobody else was fishing, but a guy walking a dog said that bloodworms work good for bait, but to watch out for the eels and catfish. My lifetime record, of zero fish of any kind caught in the Hudson, remains intact. There were lots of Canada geese around and some young ones are hatched. A sign on the docks said to beware of tics. It was a bit cool out there at sunrise, I should have brought a warmer shirt or a light jacket.
