  3. Look, I am not an economics expert or any kind of guru of the energy business like a lot here believe hey are. All I know is that we went from energy independence to shortages and dependence on our enemies for something as vital as energy. We have a president that publicly declared a war on the fossil fuel industry. We have a president who took open, public actions to back up that threat. I'm not sure it takes much more expertise than those observations to figure out where this all started and how we are all impacted and by who. Biden recently stated " We are changing people's lives". He did not say he was changing them for the better, and the results clearly show he is not. Come-on people use your brain. Make a few observations at what is going on around you. The problems that exist at every turn are not really all that hard to see and figure out if you aren't all muddled up in the close-minded attitudes of your past politics.

  11. Yeah. Even after he fixes everything back to normal for the American people. If Trump gets back in there you watch how fast that democratic swamp gets drained after these 5 year F-up’s. Retirement will be coming from all corners

  12. I kind of thought that there were a lot of questions about this forced action of switching over to electric cars that were not being asked or the answers not reported to the public. That is why I started this topic. It appears that we are trying to go into a whole new technology without the required baby steps. That is not really a very smart thing to put the U.S. population through. It is kind of like everything else that the government is touching these days. There usually is an evolutionary process that ensures a well thought out final product, and I think we have been working towards that. But to kill off one major energy source when the next one is no where near ready, that sounds like the scatter-brained thinking that drives our government these days. Wait until winter arrives and all the people heating with fuel oil find that the government has made fuel oil impossible to afford. Not really a problem....right? Just throw more free money at it and make another whole segment of the population dependent on the government for staying alive. Not to mention the extension of inflation. I am starting to get concerned.

  15. This is my favorite Marlin levergun. It is a 1961 336 RC in .35 Remington with a 2X Leupold and see-thru flip up scope caps. It's a very accurate rifle and has taken many deer. It will never be for sale and will be handed down through the generations in my family.

  17. Of the 4 top runners in the Republican Party for NYS Governor, I'm starting to like Zeldin. All of them are on the same wave to lower the taxes here, to get back to prosecuting criminals instead of a handshake and a check, and they all feel our gun control laws are way too strict. But Zeldin is aiming for a full repeal of the SAFE ACT. If possible to really lower taxes here, put criminals where they belong, get funding for all first responders, allow police to do their job, get better school funding, they all sort of seem on an even playing field as to what they say they will do. I also look at who's going to stick up the most for our 2A rights, and right now that seems to be Zeldin. While the Left is in trouble right now with all the dumb ass shit they are pulling, it's still going to be difficult for the Right to unseat them. There are too many major cities in NY that are far more liberal in population and outnumber the conservatives. NYC and those boroughs alone have more people than the ADK areas. Once you add in the Albany, Rochester, and Buffalo areas with a very high liberal standing, it's a loosing battle, that's just how it is.

  19. Awesome. We did.frost seed some clover and it has taken well. It did last near too in spots we did in the trail. The one spot that we planted that didn't get flooded last year the deer ate it to the ground. Lol. But we are looking to do 3 small kill plots and that larger one in the hay field. 21. Powerful. Especially as it comes from an oil executive. I was curious about Mr. Cromwell so I looked him up a while ago. There's no one named Brice Cromwell at BP. https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-BP-oil-executive-gas-277122158792 Cool story, though.

  22. Cant spray in my spot. But most likely will just till it and plant it and hope it takes well. The soil we have will grow anything. It's right by all the black soiled "muck" lands. And was considering doing it early cause it stays pretty moist there, but gonna go and do other work this weekend. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  23. Well everything was trumps fault remember. Now in typical liberal logic when it’s a Democrat president they deflect , everything’s someone’s else fault.

  24. On all your plots you should consider soil building blends for spring and summer seasons.. These soil builder blends will build your soil up for future plantings and feed wildlife while they are growing. Then terminate them for your fall plots. Depending on size and location there's many ways to get deer to come feast.. I certainly recommend not planting monoculture plantings. If you pick turnips, add a couple other brassicas, like winfred, radish, maybe an annual clover, Rutabaga etc.. It will make your plots more desirable. you can mix it up slightly with each plot. These blends are a buffet, and who doesn't like a buffet? Offer them as much as you can so you can pull deer from the neighbors. These blends also offer different nutrients for your soils, promoting each others growth and as well as the following planting seasons growth too. Monocultures can deplete your soils of certain nutrients fast. Depending on size and shape, Perennial Blends of clovers, chicory, alfalfa or plantains are great options. Clovers go dormant in hot summer days, added chicory will keep your plot greener and more attractive. Alfalfa will help it be preferred in summer months and colder fall days. Chicory has a longer tap root and wont go dormant in drought, as it gets nutrients from down deep.. Seed Blends will make your plots much more desirable, and soil more healthy rather than one seed species unless your planting soybeans or corn or what not and with those you need a few acres to get results from them.. They work good mixed together as well. Best of luck. Reach out if you need ideas! Strip plantings can put deer right where you want them as well!

  34. Our 4-H Homeschool Muzzleloading group did a fun experiment testing how different powder charges affect impact points and accuracy. I had them test rates of 30-70gr. It was a fun way to teach the scientific method. If anyone wants my lab sheets and materials, let me know, it’s a fun experiment.

  36. The real answer to getting people and the market to buy into more green options is hybrid. Currently there are a bunch of different options out there that have been successful. I'm not sure why there isn't a bigger push to get more hybrid options out on the highway rather than the push for full electric. As has already been stated, the lack of tax revenue from fuel sales is going to be another big issue and no one is talking about that. Wait until it cost you $1500 to get your car inspected due to being taxed by the mile. Also, as demand increases for electricity, what do you think will happen to the price of it? Now your home costs are also going through the roof. Things are not looking good heading down the path government is taking.

  37. I recall catching blues from the Destroyer Piers in Newport RI in 1971 and 1972...How old were you then Chef ??... Hehehehe .. Knock off was at 1600 hours...We would beg a bit of whatever meat the cook would give us and use small pieces of that to catch 6" to 10" tinker mackerel from the pier... Then we would rig up the mackerel with a wire leader and an 8/0 hook and toss it off the end of the pier for big blues...Great fun...I'd give my fish to the Phillipino stewards who cooked for the officers and if I was lucky they would invite now and then when they cooked some up..
