  1. I bought this from Pygmy in the early days of this forum. It is what started our friendship, I'd almost say it was love at first sight. Remington XP100R chambered in .308 Winchester. I put a Leupold 2.5x8 EER scope on it with Redfield rings and bases. For the life of me (and I don't feel like going downstairs and pulling the file on the gun/load) I don't recall the bullets I used. It was great fun and certainly a challenge to hunt with. I only killed one doe with it at around 200 yards one year then the next they legalized the centerfire rifle in Livingston County and I sold it to a friend.

  3. Up at 1, fire started at 2, miss Piggy (105lb) on at 2:45. Grandnephew highschool graduation party. Injected it yesterday around 3pm with apple juice and apple cider vinegar with some granulated garlic and onion. Cooking at 275° for the first few hrs, or until I get the color I like, then flipping to finish off the cook at 225°. Using chery and hickory. Planning on taking this one to 200° in the shoulders. I'll use the skin as a "bowl" and people can grab the pulled from whatever area of the pig they like. Should be done around noon. Give it a hrs rest before digging in.

  5. I think I've got posting pictures figured out again. A little practice with an old picture I took at a customers house years ago popped up in a file and I got a chuckle out of it. This pooch was trying to use a cat door......things weren't working out for him.

  7. I was almost ten when I started working at the farm at the end of our road. At twelve, I started to help putting in hay for three other local farmers. Those four farmers were all friends, and big into deer hunting. They took a fatherless kid under their wing, and got me started hunting. Those men are all gone now. But their lessons of life, and hunting have never left me.

  9. Rationality and civility have been aborted in govt and the public in highly charged issues. Would any pro-abortion rational person say an abortion at 8.5 months of a healthy child is cool? file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/bd/13/D722A4B3-F68D-47F1-BC51-9008B700521E/IMG_9602.jpeg Would any anti-abortion rational person say an abortion for a first trimester fetus who is known to be highly disabled or a risk to the mothers life or conceived by incestuous rape of a minor is wrong? I'd venture that 80% of people can come to terms with this or at least respect and understand the "other side" even if they don't agree. If the 10% of extremes on each side are not given the time they do not deserve since their goal is derisiveness and trolling, the vast majority can handle most like adults and compromise. 15. "A pie without cheese is like a kiss without the squeeze" Every family get together, EVERY piece of berry/apple/rhubarb pie that was served ALWAYS had a thick slice of sharp cheddar on the side of the plate. An absolute requirement. It's an unwritten culinary rule (at least it should be). Cleanses the palate dairy farmer style.

  16. Trico (RIP) used to get a kiddy cone of vanilla from the Mr. Softee truck who would stop In front of the house. He would sit and eat it neater than the kids if I held it for him. Even nibbled down the cone in correct circular motions! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  26. Daughters birthday present got delivered. This will be good for her college apartment next year. She loves everything I’ve made on mine and is going to rely less on crappy college dining hall food. Went electric / ceramic top as less maintenance In last month I’ve bought a 28” / airfryer combo , 22” adventure and now this one. I may have a problem

  29. I've found the trail entering and exiting the oxbows, the best way to hunt the bucks hiding in there. Use prevailing wind to your advantage. If set up right, they won't know you're hunting them.

  30. We take the ice Tuesday at 3pm for our 3 hour shift. I'm really looking forward to it. It's a great group of guys and we did a great job raising over 25K for the fight against cancer! This year will put us over 100K raised in 4 years of the 11 Day Power Play! Thanks again to all who donated! It really means a lot to me. Thank you!!! Tim

  32. Showcase At Bucknell today-beautiful school. 3 hour drive down wasn't bad...harder on the way home! 5 innings-85 pitches 4!ks, 3 walks, 3 hits, 2 earned runs. Pretty good except for the 0-2 hanging slider that was a basin clearing triple. 3 at bats, ground out, walk, deep fly ball to the track and caught. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
