  2. I can't thank you guys enough. We heard we might get another call later this week. I wrote telling her to be on the lookout for extra mail coming her way. I did receive a letter from her saying she was sorry she got so emotional on the call but felt it was therapeutic and needed to get it out! We have an official Alpha Company West Point page that a lot of photos get posted to. Each company has a photographer. Here is a few of her with huge smiles on her face! Maybe she got a few letters from you guys! Seems she is doing much better!!!

  7. I rolled my standing winter rye in early June and planted my pumpkins in it. It kept the weeds down. I slung some Antler King Slam Dunk into the dead rye and that came in nice also.

  8. Planted a small plot of Antler King Honey Hole (brassica) last Sunday into standing buckwheat and rolled it. Got rain that night and it was coming up in 4 days.

  9. Went to New Paltz today. She said it is maybe number 5 on her list. Just wasn’t to impressed with their communication department. She just felt uncomfortable the entire time. She loved the area and the scenery but she didn’t even want to stay and eat. Just wanted to get back home so she could go to work tonight. oswego set the bar very high for her expectations of what she wants from a college and the surrounding area.

  10. Sure , got several hundred acres of beans , and several hundred of corn in . A few hundred more of a Timothy , clover and the like . Well not me , the farmer, that’s even better . I actually collect rent from him planting it !

  11. Shot my 300 Blackout today , funny part was as I was kneeing loading mags a really wide buck stepped into the beans 40 yards from me . A bit low but I’m ok with this , the red dot is real nice , my back up iron sights are a bit hard to see . Next time I’ll shoot through the sight without the dot on, see what just centering the target does .

  12. Every year this object appears , the local deer know , a Godlike , Hunter , Warrior will soon follow as soon as the Fall moon raises , and smell of Irish Spring permeates the woods . To appease this Great Hunter , they’ll leave bits of bones , feathers and other sacred objects of the woods, at its base , in hopes that they’ll not be this year’s sacrifice .

  14. This is friends property . The old stand next to it was built in 2008.. he decided to replace it with this. At my place they only go in proven funnel or feed areas usually 10 years or more of deer knowledge at spot. I do not put in ground as i can simply brace and lift with forks on tractor. I have only.moved 1 ..2x now. 2x due to a new neighbor building near it and wouldnt be legal to hunt out of. And 2nd time was to get it into a better area that was more commonly hunted. Now i will do habitat work to keep deer in box blind areas but usually just to keep them closer to it as mine tend to be funnel / travel areas.

  35. well I started actually reading the law instead of just pits and pieces and not done yet but wow this is really crazy... from locking your guns up if you have some under 18 in your house or you go hunting and grab a bite a at local diner mid day and dont have your gun in a secured basically safe in your car or truck ,,no gun case does not cut it. No less where you can carry, No where basically, and even with a full permit . i didnt know these all cover handguns and long guns....

  36. Thank God for the rain yesterday and overnight. Garden took such a hit with the heat i noticed a little contraction in my plants . Leaves shrank back and wilted . Plants were not as full looking. I have watered almost every night for a month and the temps hitting 97 and 96 this weekend really kicked the gardens arse.

  37. I do similar. I pump a gallon of ethanol free into my car, to purge the line and nozzle, then fill the can. After that, I reinsert my card, and fill the car up the rest of the way with the “cheap” stuff. I have been doing that for about 10 years for about (10) small engines, none of which had given me any fuel problems during that period. In my opinion, the ethanol free gas is well worth the cost for seldom used engines. I use the cheap stuff in our automobiles, my old farm tractor, and two riding lawnmowers. Chainsaws, boat motors, generator, wood splitter, and power washer get the ethanol free stuff.
