Thought I would share a couple videos that my good friend @OldBrianmade of the deer I harvested the other day as well as the bow I used to harvest it. Brian is quite the videographer and we have fun putting these together…I hope you enjoy them. Also, please do not hesitate to ask questions regarding the gear that I make…I would be happy to steer you in the right direction if you were ever interested in making your own archery equipment. I'm catching a world of shit for this one. As you know I missed that giant buck last week. Since then I have run into a few really nice bucks. I have passed on them hoping to get a shot at the big one again. This guy was hard to pass this morning but I did. Had a spike pissing around with him also. Had him 10 yards broadway! Nice 2.5 year old. If you double click on the youtube video it enlarges the video, fyi. Back at it this afternoon. FL

Tonight started out slow but ended up being one of the best sits this year. At 530 I watched these two bux enter the field and drive the little bux away. At first it seemed they were traveling together but when they encountered each other near the center of my field both assumed defensive positions ears back heads down and hair up on their backs. I thought they were going to fight but they kinda circled and side walked and went on their respective paths. Both are shooters in my neck of the woods so hopefully they get along well enough so my son and I can wack them before one drives the others away. Pretty sure they are both 3 1/2 yr olds or better ps good luck Fletch

Sitting in my living room with my kids and a huge 6 showed up at the spot I was planning on going this morning if my daughter didn’t get sick.

Pulled 5 cam cards today and got some good bucks around. The big 8 is all over at night, one day pic. Also one pic of Big sixy he's still around at 4am. A decent 6 has also shown up now. Had a broken forkhorn and a spike duking it out. Looks like 2 spikes, a broken forkhorn, a little 6, a decent 6, Big Sixy, a smaller 8 and the big 8 for bucks around. As always mostly night pics. This is certainly not usual warmth. Several more days of this stuff. I am just downwind of a scrape that has been very active considering the weather. Mostly does going by 530-630 and a few bucks showing up at 7. Here is to hoping one arrives earlier.

Hunt #20. Dark -10:30 Scrapetree. Hasn't been a lot of action at this stand but the wind was right. Had best action this year. Saw three bucks. Two shooters. A small body buck comes out to my right in trail but is walking the other way. I thought it was the broken forkhorn but couldn't tell for sure. Grunted a few times at him and he turned and came right to me . I guess right to me. Realized he was a 6 pt. He was 3 ft from the stand. But he came up the only spot I couldn't shoot right along right to the treeline. He is standing in path to the stand then spooks as he must have caught a little scent as he is almost standing on my pack. I draw and he stops but then trots down trail about 40 yards. I let down and he just walks slowly the other way. Grunt at him again and he starts coming back but then ducks into woods. Small body and had standard 3 on one side then a weird crown like 3 on the other. After he left I sat down and turn to the main trail to me left to look. Is that a deer in the trail???? Yup and a decent sized body. He turns his head and in the sun I see a glint of antlers. He's about 90 yards away and prob the better 6 thats around. He might have heard my grunts and came out to look. I grunt again but he doesn't come any closer. About 45 minutes later I see a smaller deer can ming down the trail. Looks like a doe. She gets close I'm taking her. Gets to about 45 and I see it's a spike horn. He wanders around eating for about 15-20 minutes then goes back up trail. 11/2/22 Luna and I headed over to finish a track started by fellow tracker and friend, Matt Miller last night. Matt and Greta tracked a buck about three hundred yards before it became clear this was a gutshot buck and they backed out. Unfortunately for Matt, he has this thing called a job and couldn’t go today. Luna quickly locked on and we were at the last bed in no time. There was no blood the rest of the track. We were 150 yards beyond where they had backed out last night when there was a commotion about 30 yards ahead. The buck was still alive! He got tangled up in a fence as he tried to leave so I called the hunters son up to take Luna so I could take a shot. By the time that happened, the buck had freed himself and ran across a small clearing. I was able to see exactly where he went in the woods so I snuck up and was able to finish him. The initial shot hit a front leg and lower brisket, angling in to catch a little bit of gut.

That is who I found. I hit a little forward and no pass through so no second hole and prob a crap blood trail into a swamp. So I been reading our resident tracker on here. Backed out and will go in the am. Update then.

I bailed 10 minutes in stand. Sweating in the sun in a tee shirt is just ridiculous for hunting weather. Put on light clothes and some tinks spf69 for the evening show. Hopefully there are some willing ones within the herd who come visit up close.

I'm only out cause it's the last day with the compound for me and I had a lot of action this morn and I have the day off. Kept my eye out for rattlesnakes on the way in as I am fairly certain I was abducted to Texas at this point. 72 on Nov 3. Yuck. Hunting xbow sat and it's supposed to be 75. I blew off hunting today, got my gutters cleaned and raked leaves. Tomorrow I'll put up the Christmas lights. Usually I do that when it's snowing, one of the perks to retirement!

Sprinkled some doe in heat 15 yrs from my stand. Had a doe and her little guy with 1.5" horns come in. Mom wasn't impressed, but the little dude stuck his nose in the leaves and rooted around for a couple minutes. Definitely liked that smell,lol. Passed on a 4pt at 10yrds. At one point there 22 deer were in the field behind me.

Mentioned was hunting lately but not going to burn myself out like years past. Awaiting the good , the rut. Well I picked one heck of a day it wasn’t raining nor turned off alarm and bailed. Had a four point walk almost directly under me. Later I hear foot steps in the leaves . 2 fawns with 2 good doe behind them. I know old logging trail is 25 yards from stand. First doe gets by my 2 clearings of branches to shoot through so I draw and hold awaiting second doe to hit the second window. Anticipating her step forward I let the arrow go. Luminock shows money . She bolts off. I’m gonna wait awhile to check arrow. But dang arrow who should be strobing slips under the leaves upon finally looking. Then I have a spike coming down trail followed by a different 4 point. 3 small doe coming down a knoll and the 4 point now has a good 6 join him. The 4 takes off running dogging the doe. He ran them off and they headed back under me with him still chasing. I had full draw contemplating sending it on the 6 but let off. Already have one blood trail so no bueno on sending it. After losing a doe last week I believe was a superficial hit and no idea what happened I’m glad to have redeemed myself on only my 3rd archery deer with a clean and quick kill. She went about 20 yards and crashed in a rose of Sharon. What a morning. Double lunged

If it is true, there is a conspiracy between the White House and the Main Stream Media to keep it quiet until after the election. The same thing was done with hunter Biden's laptop prior to the 2020 election. The media has lost all credibility already. This would be proof of corruption. As per Newsmax, the United States has only 24 days left of diesel supply and the Biden administration is doing NOTHING about it !!Everything will come to a halt. No trucking...no food delivery to stores.... Mmmm doe backstrap + tenderloin. And apparently I caught liver too… didn’t notice while I was gutting. Liver, bacon, and onion sandwiches this week!
