  1. I will be putting 10-15 acres into clover. The guy who gave me the seed is a really good guy and he wanted to make sure I have enough. He and another guy started a foot plot seed business 2 years ago. Just getting off the ground. This is seed from 2021-2022.....gave it to be free...no promises. So I will be laying it down fairly heavy.

  2. Going through this month's American Rifleman giving the lowdown on what is new in the firearms world for 2023. I have noticed several new lever action rifles outfitted with the so called tactical look, I have also seen some of the old standbys getting a tactical makeover outfitted with accessory rails and synthetic stocks. The manufacturers have been coming out with alternatives to the autoloaders. I have read some pretty convincing articles on lever action's ability to be a defense weapon. Fightlite's totally new design is an interesting one, uses some features found on ARs, said to be starting out chambering 223 and300 Blackout with 6mm Arc and 450 Bushmaster down the road. Not my cup of tea but I am sure there are some that will have one in their arsenal. Al

  3. Hmm. The Winchester 94 30-30 stock version was the tactical weapon of choice for many generations of lawmen, and gave pretty darn good service.

  4. i love projects like these, IT also has me wanting to break off on my own, buy a few machines and start my own business. I cant wait to shoot it. Just need to put a couple more shells together this weekend and a nice day coming up, I will send it. and post it! Thank you sir, I take pride in my work, I was just a floor worker in a factory a decade or so ago, I passed a hands on test for an entry level position and passed. Between mistakes and being taught by a handful of guys in the shop. I am where I am now because of it. Cant wait to shoot it, plus a shell i load myself. It should be fun!

  5. Many moons ago I took a 2 year vocational school course in machine shop practice, one of the best things I have ever done. I can recognize good work and that choke tube looks great. Can't wait to hear how it patterns for you. Al

  6. Thats cool you have the skills to do that . As an industrial mechanic I can do basic machining . I always wished I could take that up as a trade but the opportunity never presented itself. Looks like a fun project. Interested in seeing the results.
