No, I didn't miss the point.  I get exactly what you are trying to say but I'm not buying it.  Leaving the windows open or closed at any given time will make no difference in my opinion.  A deer will walk by when they feel like it.  Leaving the windows open when you are not there won't make them any more likely to get comfortable with the blind being at that spot then if you kept them closed.  Maybe they'd get more used to it if you kept the windows open with a table full of corn on the inside where they could stick their heads through and eat it, but otherwise I doubt they could give a crap.

Yea I got it , appreciate your opinion ..

Ive read countless saying the opposite.

Guess it won’t hurt anything to try it , I need every angle I can get :)

You are giving deer way too much credit for their intelligence if you think closing the windows will scare them away.

I think u missed the point , if u hunt with the windows OPEN, they say u should leave OPEN even when u aren’t in the blind .

The deer will notice the change ??

  3. I have Arctic Shield bibs and jacket , I wear long underwear tops and bottoms , jeans and sweat shirt under the bibs and jacket

    Muck boots gloves and hat

Sitting in my treestand on 30 deg days I’m freezing after a few hours

Is there any better options to keep warm ?

Good catch.I didn't notice it before. This makes me even more convinced, if you look at a downward trajectory from an elevated stand. Deer walking away from the hunter, shot impacted just above the shoulder and opened the hide as it continued it's path forward and downward across its face and muzzle/nose. Picture laying an arrow (or bolt) along the straight marked line on the muzzle/nose back to the other end of the wound over the shoulder. The big fold of hide at the bottom is from the weight of the hide and gravity causing it to sag.

Yea dam… if I see him I’m taking him out .. problem will be I don’t have a buck tag until gun season .

Wonder if DEC will give me a pass due to its suffering

We took a doe like this with her hind quarters  sliced open. Infection had set in and the meat had turn green.

I would use my buck tag , if given the chance.

I used my one buck tag already , I have another but can’t use it until gun season

  6. I have 6 SPYPOINTs

I had Tactacam before , SPYPOINT has 100 free photos a month and two less batteries

I could see no difference in the pic quality between SP and Tactacam

    I joined SP insider club

99.00 a yr and you get 250 photos a month on every camera no matter how many cameras u have

  7. I raked the path to my tree stand and both ground blinds yesterday so I can walk in quietly

Funny , I just got done taking the path to my treestand , got in my Jeep and the camera goes off , a buck was there must be curious as to what all the noise was..

It was like 2 minutes later at most

  8. Three nights in a row a big buck has come about 50 yards from my blind .

Last night he came closer but tonight he stayed away

Im thinking of moving my blind closer to the spot he keeps showing up ..

Not sure if that would spook him ??

I grunted tonight but he ignored me ..

My buddy said he never grunts when he sees a buck , he uses his doe bleat can
