Wonder if a gas operated semi would be less recoil than a bolt , or should say noticeable ?
Yes quite a bit different but gas gun wont be as accurate as a bolt for some reason.
Get the 270, throw a recoil tamer muzzle brake and softer butt pad, the difference will be barely noticeable between the 270 and 243 -

People do have a way of coming up with new actions in firearms, this Alcor Push Button is something different, will it become mainstream?

I once went on a hunting trip in hopes of chasing some white whitetails at Sampson state park.
It was bow season and I along with 3 hunters walked out of the parked truck and past a giant 10pt bedded in the ditch 10yrds away.
Never saw it until I turned back to grab something from the truck and when I was a few yards away thats when it got up and disappeared in the thickets. They sure know how to survive pressure and pattern us very well.

Its the extreme temperature swings. My steel barn would do it for the first few yrs in summer like a rifle shot and then eventually settled.
The deck boards pop when its cold over night and then during day as it warms up.-

I’m thinking of selling my crossbow
It’s a Centerpoint Sniper 370
Has an upgraded Vortex Crossfire illuminated scope and a bunch of bolts
Any idea a fair price ? It’s in perfect shape
Has a removable crank cocker too if u need it
Keep the scope and sell the bow for $150

Took a ride through a road in Roscoe where I had a house years ago. Down the road is 15,000 acres of state land. This place was packed 30 years ago. Plenty of room to park trucks and RV's off the road. When I drove through those palces don't exist anymore. The forest has grown right up to the road. I don't know what hunters do with their vehicles. Its a shame the DEC doesn't maintain those spots to hunt or hike.
No one wants to group hunt state land..no more deer drives
Everyone wants to be a social media celebrity-

Unfortunately we got an inch of snow and expecting a few showers this morning. I marked last spot hopefuly she is not far. I'll look 7am to about 8:15. Again I can pick it up after work from 2-dark.
My guess is low brisket/leg hit
They can go a long ways -
Bow season in the stand but gun season i move around depending on where the deer run.

I think the TV shows force ppl to take any shots to post up and in the end they end losing the deer
Most ppl are now in it for the show and money not because they enjoy being outdoors -
