  1. As the saying goes "why not both "
  2. Its crazy how warm it is still. Scary to think how long winter will stay or how dry the spring/summer will be.
  3. Agreed , the field of view at max zoom with 50mm will be better and help with acquiring the target.
  4. You should be out hunting, so many of us are counting on you this week to fill all your tags
  5. Apart from this yr, when I have not truly been hunting; I tell this to most people and they think I am crazy. I am not even an average hunter but the reason I got deer in the seasons past is by increasing my probability of getting out there whenever I can. Even if its for couple of hours. As once was said on this great forum "zero to hero in seconds". You never know when that deer is going to cross paths with you.
  6. These pics are useless without GPS coordinates. j/k Glad you had a good time
  7. No different than carrying a rifle..just single shot
  8. I have made goose burgers and ppl couldnt tell the difference of it from beef. Havent hunted ducks or geese in ages. But if you are anywhere close by I have a few decoys if interested. It is a lot more fun cause you have 3-4 guys and dont have to be quite until the flock comes in.

  10. But there is this week and then last week of December? I want more stories from this journal
  11. Hemlock and Honeoye creek stateland parking lots were full today
  12. I would get out of that stand now. They don't call them widow maker for nothing.
  13. Some one is either killing all the deer in area or target practicing. Every 3-5 minutes I hear a shot south of me from the same location
