I guess you lower that thing from the stand loaded, cocked?

As long as there is not a bolt loaded you should be fine lowering or raising to the stand... As far as decocking I used to use the heavy decocking bolt but they sometimes skip off the ground and can be a pain to find if it's dark... But the bag with a field point you just walk up point blank and shoot it in and it's done... Always decock after hunting even in the morning if you plan to go out in the afternoon. It is not good for them to be cocked for extended periods.

Been with dish network for over 20 yrs. Never had them triple the price. Yes they have gone up a few times, but no huge jumps.

Does Dish Network have MSG yet? We dumped them years ago only because we couldn't watch hockey on MSG and it didn't seem like they were ever going to make a deal to get that channel back. Would consider switching back if they have MSG back.

I ran over to Runnings this morning and picked up shooting sticks.  They still don’t have any 12 ga Hornady SST slugs, nor does Lockport Walmart.   Those have always grouped ok out of my rifled Marlin 512, except for the last time, on the range in adverse conditions (real hot, lots of mosquitoes).  I have less than 20 left.

Hopefully, I can get that gun hitting right where I want it, using less than half of those.  I would like to try a few from the shooting sticks, at a 150 yard range.   That is about double the range, where I am comfortable with my smoothbore Ithaca 16 gauge.  I have plenty of ammo for that one.

I plan on simultaneous squirrel hunting, during many deer and turkey hunts this year (especially the September antlerless ones).  I will bring along my open-sighted pellet gun for that, and limit shots to under 15 yards, when there is no deer around.

I got that Marksman dialed in with (6) .177 pellets this morning, off the back porch.  Hopefully, I will need less SST’s than that, to dial in the Marlin 12 ga deer gun, back on the range.  If not, I will be using the Ithaca 16 ga, and keeping shots well under 100 yards.

I guess I could break out my in-line T/C Omega ML, if the September does won’t get in close enough for the Ithaca 16 shotgun.  I also have plenty of bullets, powder, and primers for that.  It was right in the mark on a deer I used it on last year and one on New Year’s Day this year (as was the Marlin 12 and the Ithaca 16 on the other (2) last year).

It’s a little more of a pain to clean that ML though, and I am not crazy about the one shot limitation.  I will throw it in the Durango, and confirm the 100 yard zero, on my next trip back to the range.  I have no intention on going for a double on deer in September anyhow, because I only have room for one in my deer fridge.

I just got some Hornady SST 12 gauge delivered this week from Bud's  $13.25/box... Didn't think that was too awful bad in today's day and age.

  4. I had a hen with a few poults, that could not have been more than a week old, walk across my yard this past weekend. Really strange to see this late, but better than not seeing at all. First ones I have seen all summer.

Yeah, lucky me I guess. It's pretty weird. I noticed in the shower when I couldn't smell my soap or shampoo. My shampoo has menthol in it and the only thing I could sense was the "stinging" in the nose from sniffing it, but no actual smell. Food wise I've had coffee and toast w/PBJ. Hard to describe, just can't taste. I am feeling less fatigued though, so hopefully that is a positive sign.

Pop a fireball in your mouth. You get nothing whatsoever. No burning, no cinnamon, no nothing. That's what definitely confirmed no taste for me when I had it.

I had that once. Seemed like my double yokers were from the smaller eggs

With mine it seems the double yokers crank out pretty frequently when young chickens first start laying then the doubles peter out.

I just have a lamp with an 8 watt LED bulb on a timer that comes on early am through the winter months to give them the artificial light to keep them laying strong. Not saying I have never put a heat lamp in there when it was extremely cold, but it really is not necessary and haven't done that in years. If they are fully feathered they will survive the cold.

How much does roundup usually cost? I need to spray an acre this spring and another acre in the fall and was kinda shocked at what it cost. According to the label I need 2 of these bad boys to cover a little over an acre. Most guys say spray, wait 10 days, disc, wait and spray again. I'm not sure I can stomach doing that twice at this price.

Prices have doubled from a year ago. Go to a local feed store. You can get generic Roundup for around $80 for 2.5 gallons of concentrate. Works just as good. Wish I would have bought a couple cases last year.

Table and 6 chairs from ZGallerie. Paid $4,700 about 5 years ago. Rarely used. Distressed dark brown color. Also has extra leaf to make table even longer. I can take measurements if anyone wants. Must pickup in Northern Westchester County. $700 or best offer.
