  1. Good luck. I've found It's only good for close shots as well. If you're shooting at a deer 20 yards or further it'll be difficult to depict what's clearly happening. It's great for alternate angles of the Hunter in the stand though.
  2. Nice pic wooly! Would make a nice backdrop for a person holding up a buck too!
  3. I'm good with the rain, just. It great for the camera and associated equipment. Might be out hunting but won't kill anything if I can't get footage.
  4. Switched to 100g Muzzy Trocars this year. They seem to fly pretty good out to 60 yards.
  5. First shot at 60 yards is the middle, second is top left, third is top right.
  6. He'll gross right around 9", good luck he's a dandy!

    Pins

5 pin on my hunting bow 20-60 yards and adjustable sight on my other bow out to 120 yards.
  8. I've never noticed any difference and have shot them for the last 4-5 years.
  9. New job equals no vacation time this year. However, I can foresee some unpaid days off coming between Nov 8-20.
  10. I typically stand up when I'm in stand. I sit when it's dark out before sunrise and every so often for a few minutes after standing for long periods. I think it helps keep me more alert and ready. I have shot deer sitting and kneeling though. Best thing to do is practice from the types of positions you may encounter from your hunting stand or blind.
  11. We do! I was so close to purchasing a black widow bow this spring as well. We were in Virginia visiting family and my SIL's friend had a one piece recurve for sale for $600. So so close...just didn't do it.
  12. Also have the Obsession Sniper
  13. Plots are looking great despite the lack of rain. I didn't plant any small plots this year for that reason. Hope you and your daughters hard work is rewarded this season, good luck.
  14. Giving the Muzzy Trocars a shot
  15. So you just have one for sale? Or you manufacture them and sell them? And how high can you really get that off the ground without a ladder, 7 feet?

    Changes?

With the season fast approaching, we're down to crunch time for stand set ups, putting in the last of the winter food plots, archery gear acquisitions, etc. So my question is, what changes have you made this year to ensure you have a successful archery season? Did you acquire new property? Plant some food plots? New bow? New tactics? You get the point. Personally, I've made some alterations to my property, added a few new stands in new areas, got a new bow, and some new hunting apparel. The most drastic change was my property though. Converted a field that is typically alfalfa to corn. This added an additional 15 acres of corn and is allowing me to put stands in spots I typically wouldn't, which will hopefully improve my sightings. We also have a petroleum pipeline that passes through our property and this past winter they came through and decimated every living tree, shrub, and plant form that existed in their ROW. Basically this is now a 30 yard wide, several hundred yard long shooting lane that the deer have become comfortable traveling. I haven't had a lot of buck action but a vast majority of the does seem to be staying on my property now. I'm hoping the does along with the corn, draw the bucks in for the hunting season.
  17. They make a head for lighter poundage bows, Rage SS. Specifically designed for lower poundage and low KE bows.
  18. Sorry this took so long. I would do $175 for it as its pictured, and include whatever bullets and other stuff I have for it. It's a CVA Kodiak Magnum .45 cal with Bushnell 3-9 X 40mm scope, tru glo sights, and shoot through mounts.
