What part of the Greek debt crisis is difficult to understand for the American Left? Is the Democratic Party so immersed in faux-ideology and division politics that it is blind to what is going on? Let's make this simple: 1) the Greek government spent a lot of money it didn't have. 2) the Greek government hiked taxes and implemented a vast entitlement state to pay for all of the government spending. 3) it went bankrupt. Now replace the word "Greek" with the words "United States" in numbers 1 and 2, and hope we turn it around before we replace it in number 3.

Has it ever crossed your mind it's simply a reaction to government overreach? None of this would be happening if the fools had never tried to squash people's freedom to choose without coercion. There is nothing wrong with northern residents supporting southern residents in their fight. It's not bigoted to resist government oppression, it's a duty of citizenship. If I recall correctly, the Confederate flag was taken down from the SC statehouse in 2000 after a liberal protest called for it's removal. It was moved from there to the Confederate Soldiers monument on the SC statehouse lawn. That's the flag they are demanding removal of now. It's the old, "Give them an inch...." problem.
