Back from the morning hunt, not 1 sighting in our group. Hopefully this evening will be better. Syltands near the corn field

Finally on stand in the woods. Lots of good sign in the drive in. 7 doe on the side of the road next to the hunting ground. Hoping for a kill early this morning and tenderloin for lunch.

Live from the truck.....rainy and 53....gonna go to work ..... no 4 month layoff this year!
I think most if us will agree, having work and missing hunting is better than having time to hunt, but missing a paycheck.

8 total deer sightings today. A doe and 2 fawns 20 minutes after walking into the woods. Then 4 doe feeding too far off to shoot, then called a buck in with the fawn in distress call.

Hello all! I've been viewing HNY for a while now, and figured it was time to join up (Mainly because I have a question to pose that I will get to later)
I hope everyone's hunting season is going well so far. I downed my first deer this year after picking hunting up again in 2009 after a 10 year hiatus. It was cool, I was still hunting with my bow and came up on a group of them feeding in some oak trees.
Anyway...

I never strap my climber down. I've never had it drop, though I have had some "woopsie-daisy" moments on trees that weren't totally straight.
