How to destroy / disable old hard drives ?
shawnhu replied to fasteddie's topic in General Chit Chat
Really weird this Maxtor only has one platter, and it's not protected. The ones I've opened(mainly Seagate and WD) has glass protection and multiple platters. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

We should test it out. I don't think it'll get to the third drive. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

Didn't know we had some high profile folks on here to worry about that type of sensitive data. Would a .30 cal rifle round penetrate the shell in one hit? Good experiment. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
Hmm. What's the price of admission? I tried to go to Striper Day this year, but ended up getting there on time, and 2000 people ahead of me. Is this thing crowded as well? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Fire TV stick seems to be the next best thing. $40 for most, $25 if you're lucky, and you can watch a ton of stuff. Still trying to get the YES network though. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

No, unless you can download the Vimeo file and convert it to MPEG-2 then burn it to DVD. Besides, this is so 90's technology. Try going directly to the source using your smart tv and try to play it through that. Or download the file in an avi format or something and pop it onto a USB drive and plug it into your tv. And that still doesn't work, buy chrome cast and have it "mirrored" from your phone to your tv. Edit: if you want to give the DVD to others, then you have no choice but to go the conversion route and make it into a readable format which is MPEG-2. You can cast it if your tv and phone supports it. Otherwise, getting a device like chrome cast would do. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

From my understanding, no you can't "drive" deer or bear in NYS. But that doesn't mean you can't have buddies hunt in a certain fashion from a controlled, planned out route, with weapons in hand of course. Just from what I've heard from people of authority. Take it for what it's worth. And welcome to the forum. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
