  1. Thanks PapaBear. Elmo, You can hunt turkey at Fahnstock with gun or bow. I forgot to mention..there's also another spot on the Taconic that permits are given for, by Fahnstock. It's called Stillwater Pond. I had 2 coyotes come within 10 feet of me while turkey hunting there with a shotgun a few years ago. Nice spot.
  2. Elmo, You can hunt turkey on Fahnstock. One month before the season they start giving permits to hunt turkey there. You go to the park office on 301 and fill out the application. You can also get a permit for Hudson Highlands which is another great spot.
  3. I can't stand the Devils. Hated them since I can remember. Game 1 reminded me of 1994 though. Last nights game was so-so. Rangers need to come out fighting for game 3. The Devils need a good old fashioned ass-whoopin, physically. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!! OPEN UP THEM CANS OF WHOOP ASS ON EM!!!!!!!! Also, am I alone on this or did anyone else think the Rangers puck handling was atrocious in game 2?
  4. OK. Thanks for the welcome everybody. Dave6X6, that's funny. Thanks. I know WAY better than to show up on ANYBODY's property on ANY day during ANY season. Like I said, "New to this site, but not new to hunting by any means". @ NFA-ADK: I've hunted Ninham several times for pheasants and quail with my dog. Also tried one site in Brewster, can't think of the name of it right now though, but hunted for deer there, right off 22, close to 312. Several spots that are DEP land along 301 in Kent and Carmel are good, although some are very crowded with guys hunting. Fahnstock Park has always been a favorite. Shot a monster gobbler there several years ago!! Huge Boss Tom...very nice. Anyway, thanks for the welcome guys. Be safe.
  5. Hey everybody. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. As you can see from the screen name, there are two of us. My wife and I love to fish (Largemouth, smallmouth, crappies, perch, sunnies, whatever else...oh and of course Stripers!!). We also love to hunt, mostly bow. I do gun hunt but she doesn't as of yet. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the community and if anyone has or knows of any hunting opportunities in Westchester, Putnam or Dutchess, I'd love to be considered. Thanks again and good luck hunting!! Joe
