  1. Stay, pizz yourself and then go. You can do it all!
  2. Think its one and one like here. Many guys on huntingbeast (mostly WI hunters) seem to get two slammers a year. One of the big differences is that WI has vast public lands with high density unlike new York which has vast public lands (ADK and catskills) mostly with low density.
  3. I know we had photos of one 2 years ago that was shot 5 miles away a few days later. Could be him for sure.
  4. All sounds positive Reeltime. If by RGH you mean Rochester, they are a client and have made tremendous strides in the quality of services over the past 20 years - among the best in the country. I am very impressed with their commitment. Judy is in good hands!
  5. Salt and a little butter and I will eat a whole frozen bag. And usually do since my kids and wife agree with you.
  6. My question is how did they get him to and into the truck. I know my hunting buddies would laugh at me if I asked them to drag or pick up 1/2 of that bear.
  7. Sous vide steaks always look great but I just can't imagine wings that are not deep fried! No pic, but had some fresh butterflied backstraps left over from dinner for lunch with lima beans (which I love but most seems to dislike - don't get it). I like to shoot big bucks, but this little guy tasted spectacular!
  8. The Winchesters shoot well from it too. Never had a problem finding ammo, used to order through Gander, but I guy 10 boxes at a time and don't plink with it. lol
  9. Yep. most of the properties I hunt are shotgun. 2 are rifle, but I will be sitting in Monroe Co. I have plenty of boxes of accutips and Winchester supreme. Using accutips now.
  10. Still waiting for the invite to your fully enclosed and heated shooting house with the fenced in deer in my rifle shooting range (50yds or less please).
  11. I just had 3 does and a booner bed down in the corner of my office!
  12. Sad part is, if we switched stands, the deer left with my buddy. haha You can do everything possible to up the odds, but there ain't no guarantees in hunting.
  13. Text me. I will drop you a pin. Maybe you will see a deer since I have been on a cold streak. Honeoye Falls is supposed to be good hunting.
  14. Only so much you can control Bob. One thing is for sure, you have given yourself every opportunity with regard to seat time. Normally does are an easy task for me. This year I did not have one in range through 11 days of hard hunting starting Nov. 1. And I am glad I shot the little buck as I never had a 3yr old in range either. Only saw one. Just the way the cookie crumbles at times I guess. First time I can't wait to move on to regular season.
  15. That's funny. I did the quebec and DC trips in 7th and 8th grade myself. Good to know things haven't changed much.
  16. Cmon - we all know its a cougar and no one wants to say it. Be very careful out there TF. You just may be the hunted.
  17. LOL - I tend to do this even with stupid trad bows where there is very little benefit to anything new. Kind of the do what I say not what I do advice.
  18. Don't chase the latest and greatest. Your current Matthews will kill em just as dead!
