That would be my predictable 4 iron shank, followed by a sliced 7 iron and then a 30yd bump and run, 3 putt and I am in for a triple bogey. Much easier to be my cadddy

Didn't think much of him until he got to about 20 and I realized he was way outside the ears. Walked by at 7yds looking for that buck that grunted.

Not bad. Definite 2yr old. Called him in and thought about shooting him cause it was a unique rack. But lots of days left and I probably wouldn't have had him mounted. Maybe he will stay a 4pt as a 3 year old. That would be cool.

Well rain finally stopped. I couldn't be more wet if I sat in the shower this morning. My pockets have puddles in them. Should be a comfortable rest of the day. Lol

Never had an issue. But we are selective about what we shoot in here. More work for sure. Only certain areas in the cattails are standing water.

We don't gut until we clear the swamp. Drag and then field dress.

Day 2. In the thick nasty. Little wet but should be stopping. This is the thick high ground that borders a cattail swamp which borders a field of now winter wheat.

Day 1 of vacation done. Saw 7b and 9d. Probably still too early to sit full days but what else would I do. It is a hunting vacation. Planning another full day tomorrow even with the lousy weather. Stand time only ups the odds. Never know.

Man the secret lives of doe is nothing like the secret lives of pets. These 2 have been completely boring for 2 hours. Up feeding and moved maybe 15yds.

Bedded doe got up stretched and plopped back down. Little too far to be live decoys.

Spikezilla just stopped by. He promised to come back same date and time in 3yrs. I hope he wasn't snowing me. He had one of those trustworthy faces.

Oh and I just saw a red tail miss a squirrel.

2d bedded below me about 70yds away. Maybe one will go into heat in the next 5 min and I will be swarmed with giant bucks. I like my odds.

Blame Pygmy. He said he uses that honey hole all of the time and gave me permission. Never mentioned it wasn't his honey hole. And after marrying a Guatemalan, sleeping with the fishes doesn't seem so scary. But out of deep respect I will leave your honey hole alone. Keep an eye on Pygmy however.
