  1. That said, the grip felt great!
  2. My bow felt off tonight. Great timing with the opener 3 days away. Any ideas?
  3. I thought that was you Buckmaster! lol
  4. Bows yep. A press and some experience is all that is needed. Guns I haven't had to do much but did have a shop drill and tap (which they screwed up and I now have an extra hole - which they didn't mention when it was returned with rail installed). My buddies don't pay me those cheap B(*&^&%$##@s. Kidding happy to help anyone that needs it.
  5. Rest up or dloop down should resolve. Probably a small amount like 1/16-1/18" at most.
  6. I like tikka as an option. I always hear they are shooters.
  7. I have 10 boxes of lever revolution just waiting. Been using the federal and it has been accurate so haven't changed yet. Maybe I won't.
  8. Would like to see my buddy shoot a slammer early. He is due! Then I get the good stands come rut so there is an ulterior motive here. lol
  9. Are you a member there? I think my buddy Steve Sharkey is a member. Need to confirm.
  10. Lots out there. Your expected price range might narrow down the field.
  11. I probably average 300 arrows a week all off season but I actually start cutting down my arrows as season approaches. No more tinkering with form or tune. 5-6 arrows a day is all I need. Make em count. Once season starts, just a couple arrows on days I am not hunting and hopefully one bloody arrow on days I am.
  12. 22yds and 15yds. When it cools down I will start with some 30 and 25yd arrows again. 20-25 is pretty much the same shot for me in terms of where I aim on the deer. 30yds I just aim at high back straps and it drops into lungs. That's as far as I expect to shoot although 40yds is easy to aim as it's point on target. I think I am ready. Quiver on. Bareshafts and BH are true. BH are nice and sharp. Hope the deer cooperate. Next photo will be a dead deer!
  13. I tell my wife I am having an affair for the next 3 months. Figure she would be more mad if she knew I was choosing a deer over spending time with her.
  14. Never played it either. Backs up to Oak Hill east so I have seen a small part of Irondequoit. lol Both Oak Hill and CCR require non-cargo shorts or skorts. I prefer the latter but I call it a kilt.
  15. Great cover scent for your hunting clothes. Squish and apply.
  16. We are talking about a recurve I believe. 500s will be very stiff. 600s with heavy heads full length may work, but you are probably going to need 300g heads and it will be slow with a big drop beyond 20yds. My daughter has east jazz arrows for a similar weight. I think they are 1079 spine with 75g heads. If she doesn't plan to shoot past 20, the 600s with heavy heads will work. Otherwise, the Easton Jazz (1616 or 1716 maybe even 1816 with heavier heads) are a good option, but they are target arrows only. https://eastonarchery.com/target/xx75-jazz/
  17. Great mature buck. I don't care what he scores, he would get an arrow if the opportunity arose. Good luck
  18. I have owned the pro and Caldwell. Both seemed to work fine for the bow. Never really used either with a gun. Between the 2, I would probably opt for the pro as it seemed more consistent. BUT, I was only shooting a compound at the time and I suspect my speed was more consistent with the compound so it was probably me vs. chrono consistency.
  19. Tried it once and successfully killed my second doe with the recurve after blowing a stalk twice earlier that afternoon. It was pretty cool and I think I was surprised as the doe that when I rose from the high grass, she stood there long enough for me to put a good shot on her. That said, it only works when hunting alone. We usually have 3 hunters on parcels from 20-40 acres in size and still hunting really isn't an option without blowing your friends' hunts.
  20. Are the batteries lithium? I think they show 100 percent and die without warning. Good pics
  21. I hope you use a harness on that milk crate!
  22. I remember years ago, my firm paid for a lease car for us and I got a new explorer as a young partner, white eddie bauer edition. My buddy looks at it and says WOW that's nice, how often do you have to change the tampon? lol He also drove an explorer, but the big v8 model (riiigghhhtt).
  23. Send him a bit North Jason. With that drop tine, I will lower my standards and you can mount the youngster.
  24. I bought a pair of non-cargos just to play golf at a fancy club (at which I was scolded for not having my shirt tucked in). But most of my shorts are cargo.
