  1. Mother was 7 and father was 14 and both living in Europe
  2. I like that it has double triggers on it. Also I only hunt with lead free shot so I need a double barrel that can with stand steel and from what i hear the bobwhite can do that.
  3. I was told that as long as you sent in the re-certification before the dead line, nothing will happen.
  4. Any one ever try a cz bobwhite? Ive been thinking of getting one in 20 gauge
  5. Maybe you should ask this during the season so some people can save some bags and freeze them for you.
  6. Ill re-use them. I usually inspect them, but normally the broadhead takes the brunt of the force
  7. Ive been salmon fishing for 6 years and honestly I've only been spooled a a couple times out of the hundreds of salmon I have hooked. For salmon my set up was a 10' med action cabelas fish eagle 2 and my reel was a Shimano Sahara 3000. I used 12lb line and I doubt i got even 125 yards on that reel. That reel took a beating and it still works with zero maintenance. I bought a back up rod and real in the same config and never felt under-gunned and I fish the rapids above the town pool where you have to be on your game or else its game over. This year i converted to fly fishing and had a much easier time fishing compared to spinning. For steelhead your rod is amazing, but the reel is a little big for my liking. For steelhead, I would go with a highly visible 15 or 20 lb braid with a mono or floro leader and for salmon id run pure mono as you'll pretty much only be bottom bouncing for salmon. Im more then happy to help out in anyway, so don't be afraid to shoot me a pm as well.
  8. A DIY moose and caribou hunt in Alaska as well as a DIY elk bowhunt in the rockies are high on the list. I love white tail hunting so id love to experience hunting them in other parts of the country.
  9. Looks pretty slick. Hopefully it shoots as well as they say.
  10. Looks like fun (except the puking). I get the same way on boats.
  11. Make sure you keep up with the gym. Spend plenty of time on the StairMaster. One of the best cardio exercises for walking in the mountains. And congrats on the new bow and trip...you'll have a lot of fun.
  12. #1-Yes once licenses go on sale and ends oct 1st. They also open bonus DMP's in November for a select number of permits. #2-Don't know much about this, but it is very possible that is the case.
  13. A lot has changed. I personally never worked on a farm, but my father grew up on one. Where he grew up, no one had tractors so ploughing the fields were done by the power of a bull and all harvesting took place by hand. Now everyone has tractors there (which he didn't have till he was 17) and many have given up on farming.
  14. That's great! There are a lot of good people on here that go out of their way to help each other. As much as we may bicker on subjects, everyone on here is good people. Congrats to your daughter on her first deer!
  15. Still around when i was a kid. I always enjoyed them.
  16. Great job WNY! Your really have a talent for this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Happy birthday wooly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I bought a .22 mag to use on small game and coyote. All my shots will likely be under 70 yards let alone 100 yards. If I get more serious about it, I'd probably get a 223 and use Barnes TTSX buckets to save the hide. If it's real close quarters I'll use a 12 gauge with buckshot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Now that was good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Maybe out a perch a few feet away from the bait pile. I'm sure the hawks and eagles would rest on that limb/perch eventually. Set up a cam that can only see the perch and not the guy pile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I probably would have done the same as you. As long as it's safe to eat, I would have donated it. Just because I don't feel comfortable enough to eat it, doesn't mean it's not good and someone else shouldn't enjoy it if it is safe to eat. I'd say you made the right call. I really wonder what it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've never found one and it'll be really hard for me to find a .30-06 Barnes TTSX bullet. It zips through every deer I've shot with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hows the accuracy on these guys?
