i will always stick with RAGE also... i mean if they make some crazy changes and they get super cheap down the road then thats another story but they really are superior heads even tho mechanicals get a bad rap. i dont see their quality going down anytime soon so ill be shooting them for years to come

Watching it now, one thing I am noticing is the bucks they draw back on and shoot at is never the buck they end up showing killed. They all look like smaller buck and the one they show they killed is a completely different deer. Anyone notice this?

Funny you say kansas because that was my number one pick right there with Iowa but Iowa was a draw state. I would love to hunt Kansas... Damn! I was hoping you would tell me something good about heartland! Very disappointed lol, but thanks for your input. What do you suggest in Kansas? And if you talk to any of your guide buddies let me know what they recommend in Illinois. I don't want to go to a place where they cycle their stands way to often with multiple hunters. I want an experience where it's not pressured much and I may have the chance at a 140 or better. I see 130s here on LI every year, still trying to close the gap on one since these deer here are very skidish and always look up no matter what but I'll figure it out haha. But if I'm paying the cash I want an experience I can't get here or at least something I havnt gotten here anyways.

i like the shock collars but i prefer the O-Ring design. no hesitation in the deployment and if you know how to use them they wont open prematurely... so i dont get how the o-ring design is less effective. may not be easier to use for clumsy people but def not less effective what so ever..

i never used the chisel tip, i personally have no issues at all with the razor tip. blows through bone like no other and that tip never bend, breaks or shows signs of wear. so no need for chisel for me at least. if they ever took the razor tips off the market i would switch but as long as they sell them i will buy them. i was thinking of stocking up on some replacements parts since i have about 20 Rage heads.
