  2. That's like asking someone if they have any spare gold laying around
  3. Not sure what the little eyeballs are ? I thought the yellow could be chicken of the woods?
  4. I had a 170" buck at 15yd with a rife and missed him.. Beat that !! I still have nightmares!
  5. Wow I feel like I just found my church! I must go there to pay homage to the whitetail gods
  6. The round paw is my 50lb Griffon. Best I can tell it's a fisher based on the 5 toes and long nails? 8M wmu I did see a fisher here 2 yrs ago so it's possible
  7. That's pretty heavy stuff. RIP the deer that you kill will never attend your funeral but the friends and family will. Life is sort and the more time you can spend making memorys for other people is how a true sportsman is honored!
  8. X2 here right by my house and I have two dogs that chase them off. they don't stand a chance unprotected
  9. They need to make AR for kids like they shouldint able to shoot anything with more than 6pts.. I'm sick of kids killing bigger bucks then me every year!
  10. I would love to see you pass that 4.5yo up to shoot that 1.5yo 130lb 3pt standing next to it..
  11. I think the voluntary AR is working well seems in general most all hunters perfer big bucks over small bucks. i also think the state is doing the right thing by providing deer management education in the hand book.. I feel like they are laying it out there for hunters to decide here is your tags but it's up to you to manage the deer heard in you area. if you like big mature deer thay have to live to maturity... this is what a small 1.5 looks like and if you choose not to shoot him he could live 2 more years give you twice the meat and one massive rack ..you decide.. We have to remember that without management and restrictions we wouldint be arguing at all because the meat hunters would have exterminated the whitetail population long ago
  12. My neighbors wear head to toe orange and shoot at every thing that move like they are fighting for thier life's against the enemy.. it's as if it give them the right to be careless, they are a complete joke. they are the guys that run out of ammo and might tag one deer for every 20 shots.
  13. Yea you don't have to tell me.. just an example of how accident happen old gramps had been hunting his whole life maybe the cold got to him that day..
  14. I actually know 2 people that have been shot while hunting one with bird shot and one with a slug. I have had 3 really close calls like scary close.. I'll share one, I was hunting with a friends faimily maybe 6 guys we were hunting behind their farm and it was rainy nasty weather so we all headed into the garage to warm up. the grandfather in his late 60s decided he was done for the day and dicicided to unload his shotgun in the dry garage he some how hit the trigger when he slid the pump back BOOM a slug missed me and my buddy by less then 12" and went though the wall. although no one got hurt we were all affected. he broke down that day and has never touched a gun since.
  15. Geezer land owners have to be carefull who they let hunt there property.. you let a guy hunt there for for 14 years in exchange for a few favors.. now the guy hates you because he doesn't have life use.. I feel bad for the owners any idea what they pay in taxes?? have you looked at what 125ac would cost to buy? plus taxes .. I can tell you should feel fortunate that they gave you the opertunity to hunt all those years and not feel like they owe you something. you sir took them for granted!
  16. score smore.. I would shoot that tall spike whit out a doubt.. would make a great euro
  17. Like I said rare but not impossible.. he is legal under the AR 3 on one side rule so. Looks like he made it to a matures age with a great rack and body. great trophy ! Here is a free range wny buck example http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/60756-legacy-2016-deer-season/?p=449541 If some redneck deerologist shot this buck as a 1.5 4pt because a 4pt will always be a 4pt this magnificent deer would have never grown to show its true potential. the reason why they use AR is to protect young bucks just like this one. You don't age a deer by its rack but the use of AR would protect the majority of 1.5s allowing them a better chance to reach maturity.
  18. Well BST I would disagree I bet if you could show me one WNY 4 1/2 scrub 6pt I could show you 20 4 1/2 that would go p&y if not B&C.. now I know every buck won't reach B&C just because it's gets mature but I think all deer in wny have the potential to reach trophy status to 90% of hunters.. it's funny a guy just showed me his "old" dark racked gray faced broken up 6pt he had to take out of the herd...he was positive it was at least 10 years old. it had the body of a doe and teeth as Sharp and clean as a toddler .. a classic wny 1.5y . so many misinformed deer managers out there. there is a small little organization that does a little reserch on this matter called qdma. I would say finding a 4 1/2yo 70" 6pt would be as rare as finding a 130" 1.5yo..
  19. Why is it people never argue size limit for fish? young fish are usually protected under the length limit to alow them to mature and procreate. But as soon as people talk about protecting young deer it's as if you were taking there guns away. I personally think the best thing to come from ARs is that people have to think and identify the deer/target before they pull the trigger. without any restrictions hunters with a pocket full of tags are more prone to taking any shot at any deer. I feel safer if people aren't willing to shoot at anything that moves. I practice Qdm objectives. my freezer is always full and I've got some really nice buck running around.. I understand some hunters just want to fill a tag and go back to football.. hunting means a lot more then filling tags for me.

  21. Guess I will have to apply for a nuisance permit next year. I had no idea you could shoot bucks with it. I thought it was doe only management. I tagged early this year and have had to Pass a few slammer after that.. The hunting rules in this state sure leave me scratching my head and awfully lot That's great for you that you are able to shoot multiple mature bucks and they call it management thought that only happens in Texas. I believe land owners should get more buck tags and no land owners should just get doe tags .. I have a feeling the statement wont be popular
  22. Excellent hunt! any person that can sit in a tree for full days back to back deserves an ending like this one!
