Well you already know I use the brush pile fences, and the long winding trail plots that connect mini plots together. But another way in a woodlot is to plant mini "openings" plots...start out with an area that you know they already walk through...,that gets some light...clear off a small spot and plant anything that will grow in low light but most important GREEN UP. Then figure out how you want them to walk the property and scan the area from the spot you just planted...is there a spot you see with sun getting to it? Go there and repeat. ...The point is visual aides...Green will attract them ...there are different grasses and yes low light clovers you can plant...even chicory and turnips or some other low light greens. Deer browse. They like variety and cover. Have water...then add a green patch near that ...Under your oak trees,hop-horns near other natural foods...Hop scotch them around your place and off the neighbors. These take less time, lime, and fertilizer...if you find you like the results and deer respond...then make them bigger.

The Marquis was built with me in mind...it has a keypad security code back up...keys in car...no problem ,punch in the code doors are open. -
Gramps.... I used a 2x10" and made it 16" long...I also had a length of rope with a loop in it.... like a stirup...I'd find just the right tree where I could sit and tie that rope off so my feet didn't dangle down...I can tell ya...I never went very high and the trees were usually gnarly well branched hop horn.

He'd be better off freezing, it's quicker than the starvation. I have put down a few starving fox with mange over the years...It's a horrible sight. they are so distracted by the constant itching that they can't stay still enough to hunt. it takes a long time to slowly starve. They leave the mange mite in their dens and it can survive in said dens 3 weeks or so. http://northernwoodlands.org/outside_story/article/how_mange_a_terminal_disease_afflicts_red_fox/

Jala.... have you ever tried calling using just your own mouth? It is just positioning your tongue, the back part of your tongue, to the back of the roof of your mouth then from your diaphragm pushing air out. In short bursts...you should get a high pitched click or squeak This is the air vibrating over your vocal cords as it's forced through that small opening. Once you get use to that..and yes it can take effort, you then can add movement to your tongue and lower jaw...this will get you yelps... sliding your tongue and lower jaw forward and back does this. As that gets easier you can bring these motions to the back of your mouth and involve your throat muscles...this will bring out a deep raspy sound. If you try let me know how it goes..It's a difficult thing to describe...

LOL...... Not something I'd be willing to advertise... -
Now back to the deer hunting reason for the post....For all the cash guys spend on these blocks every year...I can fertilize and plant for less. Yes even against those cheap 6.00 blocks...

Correct me if I'm wrong...The Chinese actually tried this. It sorta worked for them...though aren't we one of the countries that their citizens come to " Vacation " in ...to supersede these pesky controls? BTW seeing I made this post and it says "makes me Laugh" This is another makes me laugh...big push to stop illegals and build the wall..which too bad, I agree with...We have yet to do what other intelligent countries have done some time ago...change our citizenship laws to correspond with the changing times of global movements and the ease there of. These countries grew a brain:

No one will believe me...maybe a 10th acre and yes deer in it every single day...I planted the turnips and tall tine next to it on one side the clover plot was on another and the pumpkins and turnips on the road side...drew them in all too well...for I couldn't walk past it to other areas without bumping deer...a few times I made it to the woods on the 4th side...to look back and see deer rising up out of their beds. The hemp and iron clay would continue to branch and grow even though they were constantly being nipped then as the hemp got older they slowed eating it due to toughness and it got to 6ft...they did strip leafs though. This was an experiment because I planted it in an area that holds water in heavy rains. The early drought we had allowed me to plant it and get it going. That and the pumpkin patch...then the rains came....I could barely walk in to check pumpkins and melons sinking to my ankles and the deer paths were deep. They laid down the weeds and grasses that grew in it and made some good bedding. you could not see the clover plot from the road. This wasn't suppose to do well in wet ground. There is a pic of some GS I grew...it is slow to take off compared to corn but catches up quick. The other is how I set up my seed corn/sorghum view barriers around the front plot . pines along the road and the other corn along the neighbors lane way/road The yellow strip was a strip of golden rod I allowed to grow

I personally think you should try using your own voice and diaphragm. It's basically the same but without the.mouthpiece.

Speaking of tin foil...grilled asparagus, grated potato, grated butternut squash, and pork nibbled in Rays sauce....Easy clean up, all delicious.

Oh boy sounds like me...All hunting pants now have at least one zippered pocket that I never touch once filled and zipped until I return back to camp or car... -
I won't deny that at all...worst in customer service over all..that said...stopped going to Dicks when the guys at the gun shop walked past me to wait on other guys...Needless to say being a woman hunter that went over like a steaming pile...Though I wasn't shy in my reaction to this before I left.... This doesn't change the fact the credit card service has been great...I left Basspro long ago because their credit card service took 7,000.00 dollar out of our checking ,when I payed a 700.00 bill in full...That wasn't just their fault ...it was our banks as well ..I got several letters of apology from everyone at the end of that 3 day ordeal...but the credit card services lies were the worst. Imagine their surprise when they said they no longer had my paper check...and I knew the law. I gave them 12 hrs to fax it to me before calling my lawyers ...They tried saying I wrote the check wrong..ha right...cheap me writes a 7,000.00 dollar check...don't think so!

Looking to Lease Hunting Land

the reason for my billion like post: 1. Only an idiot doesn't carry liability insurance on any of their properties...that would go to the swing analogy. 2. Stubby pointed out he, was required to buy his own coverage by the lessor. This is not rocket science . 3. If hunter would take the responsibility to just talk to the people who's land they want to hunt they can avoid paying that extra middle man cost. 4 . If a land owner truly wants to cover his land owning costs...They would do a little bit of their own research and have a plan in place when guys come calling...A solid contract and a reliable insurance firm to handle the insurance they should require...This could split what ever middle man cost that would have incurred, between them and the hunter. Take before and after pictures and require a permission tag be on them. plate Numbers and vehicle descriptions. I have nothing against making a buck...I have a problem with lazy land owners and hunters. -
I want to add this...the good house paint was my version of a "cheap" experiment....I figured I could always "fix" it if it didn't work ,or work long. This said the best and longest sealing would be done with rubber roofing paint...This is what they use to make cardboard boats...yes you can make a small boat from card board that will last years ...You can buy white and then ask them to use tint like any other paint to make the base color you want...that or paint as I did, then use a marine grade varnish.

I had stolen from my car, a wallet with my rent money in it...that wasn't the big loss, It contained the only picture I had of my deceased Mother in it...I went through every dumpster for 2 miles both sides of the road and walked the culvert ditches for 2 days... The other my daughter. Went to get her off the bus and he drove by...Frantic Iran to called the Catholic school...she was a kindergartner. She never made it to the bus ...Needless to say I flipped..The police made me stay home and wait...At 6pm I get a call... The local children clothing store owner called to ask if she wanted me to bring her home she was closing up..WTH! Apparently she followed her little girl to the store to have their own little play date, they were class mates. The owner never thought to question why WE had never discussed this play date....Well she did bring her home as I called all the authorities looking for my child. I met her in the drive We had a discussion ,friendly but some points made...she backed out of the drive ,and I tried stopping her,but she didn't listen...took the entire drivers side of her new van out with the telephone pole at the end of our driveway... Now that's having a bad day... I have never had such a feeling in my life....my world had been blown up for 3 hours, the relief from her call caused me to throw up. So lost, but thank God found. -
For a new main credit card......Gosh I've gotten so much "free stuff" of them over the years... http://www.reuters.com/article/gandermountain-bankruptcy-idUSL1N1FV1O2

These were along the road and backed up to a bunch of growing tubes...so close to those new trees, I'm assuming they are trying to protect the growth out of the tubes...If your reading this you'd best leave those tubes one permanently. I won't bet,I'll guarantee those trees will be girded by rodents. I purposely build fencing around big trees12-14 in diameters just so the rodents will kill them...and it takes less than a year ...on season and the bark will be completely gone from ground to top of fence..So Never put a fence against trees that you want... BTW the other fence was a few yards inside the tree line facing south...That was a camp the other a Residence...He does a lot of tree planting and tons of hinge cutting...along the road..lots of road frontage...poor guy...lol -
Have a wonderful day..A great weekend and better year
