  1. 4. One for the deer and 3 for the yotes.
  2. I say older deer do remember but the yearlings not so sure. This past weekend I had a 4 1/2 old buck step into the powerline 45 yards from my permanent stand and as soon as he stepped out he looked up at the stand and saw there was something different about it(yeah me and the camera man) he didn't blow but did not stick around.
  3. Took my Sika deer to Oakdale and got back my mount with hair missing all over the throat. He told me I did it when I dragged my deer. Never went back there again. This was a wild sika not a caged hunt. Also, Timmy was your shot behind the shoulder? Sounds like you hit the shoulder?
  4. Cabin, looks great! Let us know how the GHR do.
  5. will be at my place the 15th to set up some life lines and two more sets. Also, have to wash the hunting clothes. Also, will need to spray around all the trees I planted this year. Just hunting the weekend than come home for 5 days and then heading out to Ohio for a week.
  6. I still use my Buckmaster(jennings) G2 bow from 1995. IBO back then was 310 pretty fast for the time.
  7. I always liked the am. We can't leave a deer overnight as well. The last three we did the yotes got them.
  8. she can do 25 yards in one second could be the reason little blood trail.
  9. I think debate is a good thing and when done properly is educational. However, it's not always done tastefully. I get what your saying Cabin.
  10. yeah post them. I would love to see them.
  11. welcome to the forum...it's great you got the little guys into it.
  12. Steve you liar!!!----I dind't know your name was Adam Now that's funny!
  13. If I wasn't a hunter I wouldn't be putting in the tradition food plots as you know them to be but still and have in the past planted soft and hard mast trees. Is this honest enough? Steve, my whole point to this is I don't know you from adam and if you say you believe something(doesn't matter what) than who am I to say that's not true it has to be this?
  14. Geno, can't speak for everone else but my main goal in planting foodplots is providing tonage for the deer. I do hunt them but seldom do I harvest a deer from them. I sit back in the woods most of the time and get between bedding and feeding.
  15. "Only pointing out the truth, like a usually do." everyone we need to start listening to Steve863, he has the TRUTH.
  16. Tom, great picture. Love this time of year!
  17. SteveB, I didn't mention any names in my post so not sure why you need to explain yourself? But there are three threads on here pertaining to some sort of AR and to say QDM guys don't get attacked is a joke, I also stated other forums as well. I'm glad you pass up bucks and that's your right and telling you to do otherwise is not my business. All I'm saying is alot of guys here lump AR and TDM with QDM and it's not. This is all I'm saying. Do I want to see AR implemented....couldn't careless. I have stayed out of these post for many reasons because it gets exhuasting saying the same things over and over. I'm at the stage in life where the actual harvesting of game is just a bonus.
  18. It's amazing how people lump AR with QDMA. QDMA doesn't even use AR in any of their lectures, writings, website etc....If you have an issue with AR take it up with the state. QDMA has many principles and one is to let yearlings walk...not 2 1/2 year old bucks etc....They say it's ok to take 2 1/2 year old bucks. The states use AR to address this because the average Joe can't age deer on the hoof. All I have ever seen on this site or others is that if you practice QDM you get attacked and get very strong oppinions thrown at you.
  19. He was a icon. I believe it was back surgery. Prayers go out to his family.
