Pretty difficult to judge a deer from a photo. Since the poster said that's what they weighed, you have to assume they were weighed on a decent scale and not assumed to weigh what he stated.
Needless to say the accuracy between different scales can vary.....

Well than burmjohn is alive & well, paying invoices and collecting some amount of money for his (or lack of) efforts. I find it incredibly hard to believe that no one has been able to contact him in this day and age and discuss the sale of this joint......

I did some surveys when I first got involved with message boards, the number one reason folks come to them is for "information". You will find that only a very small percentage of members post frequently, most do not join to get into some kind of circle jerk in crowd, in fact most never post and this board is a good example. It has 9000 members now.
My Airedale board is the same, there is a core group of hunting dog folks that know what they are talking about that do the most posting, the vast majority of members log on and never post but read the content profusely, they are looking for useful and accurate information.
I belong to several other boards for things like cars and motorcycles, have belonged to them for years and never made a post.
It is all about content, good content gets clicks and traffic and this board has plenty of it.

Since you seem to have vast experience with Forum Management, are there expenses incurred here and if so, who’s paying the freight?
In the same vein, are profits made and who’s collecting the bags o money?

A good season for me; would have liked a buck with the bow or ML’r but didn’t see the “right” one. Passed a pile with the bow and a few in the late season.
Most importantly the freezer is runneth’ over. Lol

I’m sure I passed 20+ bucks (within killing range of the weapon in my hands at that time) and I’m no better for it. Lol
So much depends on deer density numbers, proximity to hunting grounds, amount of time said hunter has to devote to this and on and on.
What animal and how a hunter chooses to fulfill his desire's is a personal matter.

I have over 40 trail cameras and 17 tree stands thru out my hunting area on the park and the farm. I had pictures of those bucks in probably a 3 mile area from the Hogsback to the bottom of Highbanks And Silver Creek back to the farm. They sure did not hang together so it definitely was a one on one thing depending on which camera showed me which buck showed up where and when and then I hunt accordingly. A tad more to it then sitting in a heated box blind waiting for any buck to show up.
So it’s not exactly one particular buck as you stated but numerous bucks that meet your criteria that you’d kill. That makes more sense……
Btw, many here (and over there) pass lots of bucks for one reason or another throughout the archery and firearms seasons.

I think you're embellishing your skills a bit. One buck and only ONE buck is your target? Any of the other lesser bucks (lesser by just a skootch) cruise by are going to get killed, just that one buck that you've found, scouted, learned and are hunting?
You can talk the talk of course about that ONE buck after he hits the dirt but until he hits the dirt he's one of a handful on your radar, yea? (One buck or bust)
Hopefully fasteddie doesn't pull the plug on this Q&A thread.

You hunt animals as a whole and other hunt animals one on one. And yes to be successful at that to any degree makes the Hunter just a superior as the animal they are pursuing. A mature whitetail buck is superior to all other Whitetails in so many ways. And you throw my name in there yourself for your own reasons because if you were to pay attention to the post started the guy that killed that awesome buck hunts the same exact way. I guess he is superior also.
It’d be pretty neat if you posted a picture October 15, 2024 of that singe buck your hunting. That would show your superiority…..
