  5. Not sure....it may end up as a wall covering at my buddy’s place. When I did this years ago I struggled to sew or stitch through the hide when trying to make moccasins. Ended up punching holes and using leather from a crafts store(cheating!) to lash parts together. Didn’t love that process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. So I found a hide in the freezer I started a few seasons back(Mrs Crappy is quite patient!) and decided it is time to finish it. It was already fleshed, soaked and membraned so tonight I wrung it out, stretched it and introduced the dressing of eggs(she drew the line with saving brains for a few years!). I will wring it again tonight and leave it soak overnight in the eggs. Tomorrow I hope to start the softening process. Best reference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. And yet I know a place that has an instructor connected to the shop and would gladly offer more courses but they cannot unless the state says it’s ok to offer the course??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Big fan of the “show it as you first see it” pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. See here’s the rub, I COULD go that route (if they were 15). However, I want to introduce my kids to it correctly. They should spend the seat time with like-minded people, listening to “grampy-esque” people who devote their time, knowledge and experience about the sport. I hate how there are shortcuts or easy ways to success especially for kids today(yup I’m my father!). And yet getting registered for an actual course within a relatively close proximity and fitting their schedule(admittedly that our fault) proves too challenging. Supply and demand should force the hand and more courses (or seats or larger facilities) should be available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Pipers Kilt has always been a mainstay in my family- I remember Tuesday’s in the summer would also be PK night with bunches of families after swimming at Lake Isle(Regina was always our server); it was everyone’s first date restaurant in HS; when I bought my house and was cleaning up and painting my wife and I spent every night there for dinner(come as you are- paint covered and all); Pete the bartender was one of the first to know my wife was pregnant because she asked for a seltzer instead of her normal Chardonnay as he brought over my dry beefeater martini which he made perfectly. Consistency was what they served best with their burger and it is still close to what it was then but like so many other things their burger has changed- price being the biggest change-$18 Eastchester burger last night-that’s DOUBLE what it always was!?! Still, being there last night with just one of my sons (on his request) brought back all the memories and worth every penny. Food memory lane complete! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
