Sent my LL Bean wools back and ordered Sitka. Fanatic jacket and bibs plus mid hoody. $$$ but as was said here above “the price is forgotten when the quality is remembered”. My son in law ordered Sitka first about a week ago.

Anyone here wear any of the high end hunting clothes like Sitka; Asio, etc. I just bought LL Bean wool Jacket and pants in camo at the cost of $410 ($250 coat / $169 pants) and thought that was pricey but it is 85% wool and is made really well.

Use an anchor sight alignment device - you can have both eyes open as I do. You can also shoot earlier and later as well.

But it doesn't need to be in your face but the wind needs to be sending ypur scent the best possible way that you won't get busted. And away from the "kill zone" or area you think deer are coming from.
If there is a trail or bedding area or area you think is most likely for deer to come out for you to get an available shot then you want to be sure the wind isn't blowing your scent into it.
I actually have a stand where the wind against my back is ok because I expect deer to come out to my hard left.
A good app to use is huntstand. Download the weather for the day and it will show a scent cone where your scent is most likely to be going.
I do use hunt stand.

Do you choose your stand location so the wind Is directly in your face or do you tend to choose it blowing across your face ? OR don’t you care and just hunt the stand you feel like ?

I do wear my harness even in the ladder stand but not the lifeline like I do for all hang ons. I do connect once I'm up top. I do agree that a lifeline would be good idea from any stand type.

Then at the debate he pulled one out of his jacket and said he wears it when he thinks he gonna need it, which is like never. He's got Covid and now he and the rest of the country will have to wait and see.

harness and safety line are a must on any stand accept perhaps a ladder stand where you can hook on when up top. Hope he heals well.
