Alright, I found a new toy I want and I need money to put toward it. Once last price drop to $400 before I put it on Gunbroker. I'd rather sell to someone here though.

Mine is low again 9w.. makes no sense.. oh well. Landowner tag and a few guys have pp from last year. Still have dec numbers way off.. but apparently there are no deer and they have to raise population... ill just get em with my vehicles i guess.
I always wonder how accurate the DEC numbers are. I hunt not far from you in 9T and I am amazed at how many people in that area either don't report their harvest or shoot whatever they want regardless of whether they have a tag or not. I can't imagine it's much different anywhere else.

I think I'd trade my 48 for a 43x. I carry AIWB and I think the half inch shorter slide would be a little more comfortable when I sit down.
Why not get the 48 at that point ?

Of the things in that area I could remove a half inch from to make carrying more comfortable, I'd rather it was the gun.

Pleasure doing business, Swede. Can't wait to take a few squirrels with it come September.

For IWB I have a Vedder Light tuck that I like. There are probably better holsters out there, but Vedder's kydex seems thinner, which I like. It's also tuckable, which works for me since I am in a shirt and tie all day.

That's a nice gun.
I was a great carry gun, but I have little girl hands and the thinner grip of my Glock 48 just fits me better.

Hopefully the last bump. Someone here has to have something in their safe they want to swap. Cash on either end. Willing to ship.

I debated getting on the list for a CMP 1911. I just couldn't get used to the uncertainty of it all. I decided I'd rather pay more at a gun show and see what I was getting.
Looks like you got a nice gun though. Have you taken it out yet?

Bump and a price drop to $425. Someone has to want a reliable carry piece. Still considering trades as well.

Live from the office. Just settled one of the most contentious lawsuits I ever handled between some very well heeled farmers. My client's holdings just grew from 5300 acres to 6300 acres. I wonder if he has a spot I can throw a stand up. lol
You should have taken it on a contingent fee...33 and 1/3 percent of any recovered acreage.

In the past I've carried a .22 pistol to shoot squirrels when I get bored. It's fun, but I never seem to see any deer when I do that.
I know lots of guys have jokes about bringing a .22 or air rifle with them, but I wonder if anyone has actually done it.

Do you have the white or black ones? I think the white are rated for lower temperatures than the black ones.I only once got a cold foot in plain old army surplus Mickey Mouse boots and a single pair of medium weight wool blend socks. I have worn the same pair for the last 10 years and they have held up very well.
The time I got a cold foot, was in mid December when it was about 20 degrees out, and I took water over the top on my third deep ditch crossing.
If you pull the laces tight, you can make a couple deep water crossings without taking on too much water. My wet foot was numb by the time I made it back to the house.
Sportsman’s guide used to sell them for $ 40. I imagine you could still find them on EBay for comparable inflation-adjusted cost.

Anything under 50 yards and I am taking a poke with my new scoped Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. Past 50, I'll be using my 1968 Remington 660 in .308.

Forgot the gun porn tax. She's a 1981, according to the serial number.

Glad to see other handgun hunters. I bought a new (to me) Ruger Super Blackhawk this off season and I am hoping to take one with it. Got it shooting a good group at 50 yards, but I'm still flinchy with those original wood grips and steel back strap shooting hot rounds from Buffalo Bore.

Back when I loved out that way I went to Brown's in Schenectady. I don't know if he is still there. He was pretty old back then and it was 10 years ago. If he is, I would highly recommend him.Well my son had a nice 4 pointer lined up with his Crossbow and SNAP ! His string snaps ! I called Field and Stream ( Latham Farms ) to get it Re Strung and they said " No Problem , anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 weeks " Flying Arrow in East Greenbush does not have their Voicemail setup , nice Business ! Anyone know of a place to get a Crossbow re-strung in 2-3 days max ? Albany area or close by ?

Up early today with my girls who apparently didn't get the message that they can sleep in on DST. Wife is leaving for a work trip to San Antonio this morning and won't be back until late Wednesday night, so I'm out for the next four days. Hopefully I can white knuckle into Wednesday with both kids and all the pets still alive. Good luck to everyone going out this morning. Looks like a perfect morning to be in the woods.

I shot a spike this morning about 10 minutes before I had resolved to pack it in. I have been bowhunting for 11 years, and this is only my second deer with a bow. I bow hunt exclusively state land, and between work and kids I only get to hunt one half-day a week--some weeks not at all. I know a lot of guys would pass a spike, but I was absolutely shaking with excitement.

I made it out for a few hours on state land. I had planned to set up where a maple ridge dumps into a beaver swamp. You can usually at least get some sightings if you get high enough. While I am suiting up in the parking lot another hunter pulls in. We chew the fat for a bit and I ask where he is hunting so we don't wind up on top of each other. Sure enough, he is planning to sit the same swamp edge I am.
OK, change of plans. I found a spot on the topo I wanted to check out anyway. It's a 50 yard wide bench on a long, steep ridge. There is a corn field up top and a turnip field at the bottom. The ridge is mostly maple with some ash and smaller oaks, but the bench is mostly saplings, apple, ferns, grape vines, etc. It looks like a great spot. I set up on one end of the bench where a drainage comes up out of the turnip field and leads into the brushy bench. I had high hopes for this spot.
4 hours later: not a thing. I got down around 10 to take a little walk/speed scouting trip, and saw more boot prints than deer tracks. No droppings, no rubs, no scrapes. No sign a deer had ever been on that ridge.
Oh wall, back to the drawing board.
Work from home ?

It's funny, Moog. Judge D'Agostino in NDNY is also skeptical of Mr. Clement's rates. In 2015, she rejected his fee application of $1,100/hr and awarded him $300/hr, noting that "The non-prevailing party should not be required to pay for a limousine when a sedan could have done the job." Osterweil v. Bartlett, 92 F.Supp.3d 14, 26-28 (NDNY 2015).
I always wondered how Mr. Clement took that one.
