Against my better judgement I went out for a sit this morning.

Got in a tree by 530, sun was already rising. Saw a skunk, tricked me for a second as I thought the white flash was a deer.

And then this happened. I saw a bobcat, had my bow on him, drew back, then let down. I guess the cat lover in me just couldn't do it. I'm pretty sure seeing a bobcat during light hours is very very very rare. They also aren't as big as I thought they were.

Anyway, no deer, decided to leave at 9:30.

Good luck to all that are still out.

had a bobcat at 11-12 yards for a good 10 minutes last day of archery 2 years ago. Grooming itself. Took pics and video. Never saw one before so did not send it either

    Hunt #21.  Dark -9:15.  Scrapetree.

Only saw a fisher cross the trail.  Left early cause too much tree surfing and direction changed and too much up the trail I'm watching.  And crazy warm.  Prob not back out til Monday as Sunday looks like a washout. But Monday looks great and I have it off. Prob am all day sit or at least most of it.

Monday 11-7 I suspect is the 11-2 of a couple years ago

Was there any milk in her ?  The one I killed this year, in the early antlerless gun season, was loaded with fat.  I think most of that was due to the coyotes getting her fawn, and her not needing to make any more milk.

Last year I killed an older doe, just a couple weeks later in the year (during early NZ ML).  She had two fawns, was loaded with milk, and had very little fat on her.

    no milk
