Looks like a bacon explosion. Look up how to weave the bacon like lattice. Only a few toothpicks needed to keep bacon on. And with the lattice you get no non covered areas.

Rte 400 and 219 you do NOT want to speed on. They love those Canucks on the 219 going to Ellicottville. I got my last ticket (1991) when the trooper hit me with radar from the Genesee rd overpass on the 219 as you come down the hill coming back towards Buffalo
I would think a decent smash would be sufficient. I find it highly doubtful someone is going to try to repair it to "maybe " extract some pertinent information about you from it.

No visible bait in trapping canines. Visible bait attracts raptors from above. So I think while setting say a roadkill or carcass pile that the traps have to be so many feet away.
