How was deer season for you this year Jim ? I've never been but a good friend drives from Buffalo area to Tughill and says how great it is there to hunt. Lots of grouse he says

Edible meat or bone in ? Edible would mean you routinely shoot +- 212 pound deer

Not sure this chart is spot on. Last doe I got back was 51 pounds of edible meat . That would make her 146 pounds live weight. She was big but not that big. Guessing this chart is fairly close but not a perfect science.

If we're talking for deer hunting I don't think pattern is all that important Keep in mind we also wear bright orange during gun season so why do we think a pattern of the wrong or right type is better or worse. Predator or turkey hunting ? Then yes. I wear whatever pattern the weather dictates that day for deer. Then the orange vest goes on -
