Power outage from northeaster 24 hours no power no heat

That explains a lot! If he was on fire I wouldn’t waste my piss on him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I don’t mean any disrespect by the term bozo, just mean anyone can do it. I’ve shot a few from tree stands as well but I’ve been busted a bunch of times as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any bozo can kill a turkey from a blind with a bow but get out of the blind and it’s a game changer! I probably attempted to draw on 30 birds before I finally killed one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My favorite one was my first spring globbler with a bow, no blinds no calls crawling through a hayfield and shot him at about 15ft while laying on my back. It was an awesome experience that took a couple years to accomplish! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This has to be one of the whiniest post I have read on here in a very long time. Suck it up butter cup, it’s called life. If you’ve never had power go out in winter before you should be thankful not complaining like my 10yr old when she looses WiFi! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’m sure the guys trying to fix it are doing what they can. They can’t stop the weather anymore than you and I. Use this as a learning experience and get those fireplaces checked out and into working order so you’re prepared for the next time. I learned the hard way a few years ago when we went nearly 80hrs without power in the dead of winter. I wasn’t prepared for that either and had to keep moving a kerosene heater from room to room to keep pipes from freezing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Not to be an asshole but how do you live in the north east without a backup heat source? I know I have 2 plus a generator that will run the whole house including furnace. I couldn’t imagine expecting the power company to be responsible for an act of god. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
My car and truck are both disasters! My truck has bullets, lures, hats, gloves and empty chew cans everywhere. Not to mention the garbage. My car is much the same minus bullets and lures. I usually clean them in the spring and the truck gets cleaned before hunting season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Scariest experience or encounter in the woods or on the water
Buckmaster7600 replied to wooly's topic in General Hunting
When I was 16 I hooked up to the family boat told my parents we were going to my friends camp on Schroon lake for the weekend and headed west to Oswego. 3.5hrs away. First trip out by myself. Got on the water well before daylight got halfway out of the harbor when my buddy told me his feet were getting wet. A little bit of scramble but got the boat up on plane and put the spare plug in from the inside when most of the water was out and ran the bilge for a bit and went fishing. Sunday morning started the same were in the big lake before daylight and got into a school oh koho’s like I had never seen before. Noticed the clouds getting ugly and noticed the other boats were packing up and were talking about the storm on the radio. Told my buddy we were making one more pass and then hauling ass. Well before I knew it we were in the middle of a wicked thunder storm. I have no idea how big the waves were but they were way bigger than I should have been in with a 17ft boat, when we were in the troughs the waves were over my head standing up We got the riggers up and got the dipseys in. The storm was in between us and shore so I headed north on the worst white knuckle ride of my life. I somehow managed to keep from taking on too much water and eventually we were able to head in. It was by far my scariest time on the water. I learned a whole bunch in a short time. As soon as we got back home I spilled the beans to the old man and he wasn’t even mad, he could tell I was pretty shook up and figured any punishment wasn’t going to teach me more than I already learned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

As soon as I heard trump bring up the 21yrs old crap the only thing I thought of was he may be a genius because he will propose that and national reciprocity at the same time and if/when the dems shut it down he will come out looking like the good guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I want to say you have to pay to get in but I don’t remember. I know if they served beer at the otter pool I would never leave. Watching them rascals is always a highlight of the trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I completely agree! Instead of changing the minimum age of buying guns they should be raising the age to use social media. As well as restrict individuals with mental disorders. There have always been mentally weak people, although I feel there is way more of them now but these individuals can’t get away from it when it’s with them constantly. It used to be that if you were being picked on at school or work once you got home you were away from it not the case anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The Adirondack museum in blue man lake is a must as is the Adirondack wildlife refuge in Wilmington. Both are within an hr of the campground. When my daughter was younger those shops were he favorite part of the trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mines a shooter, hate the flimsy stock and the god awful trigger but the little sucker will shoot. If you reload you can get some amazing numbers from the 450 in a bolt gun. My hunting load is a 275gn Barnes at 2500fps. Recoil is there but not terrible and I get very close to Moa accuracy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Problem is first it will be semi’s then it will be pumps etc etc. Why the f*ck should I have to give up my AR’s for a few pieces of shit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Lake Eaton in long lake is one of my favorite camping destinations. Some great water sites and some phenomenal trout, salmon and pan fishing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
