  1. Couldn't agree more. Everyone has a great group here and there but on average my MIA "minute of arrow" is exactly what you described 2" at 20 4" at 40 8" at 80. On my best days I beat it but on my worst days I want to still be at it. My bow isn't set up to shoot tinny groups .029 pins 3/8" peep etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I go back and forth on this regularly. With my traditional bows repetition is key so 10-30shots a day is what I do. Compounds are easy to shoot, during the summer I'll shoot a lot but because I enjoy it not because it's needed. Come sept 1st I shoot 1 shot at a time some days I'll shot 10 shots throughout the day but only 1 at a time. I just hang the bow on the side porch and while I'm in and out throughout the day I take a shot. Usually my 1 shot is between 50-75yds. My max for hunting is 65 but regularly shooting farther makes the 20yd shots gimmi's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Depends on the caliber. For 99% of hunters in NY 1" is fine for me every rifle I own is zeroed for a different range depending on velocity and caliber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have a handful of 44mags and like most of them. The only one I wouldn't recommend that I own is the S&W 329PD. It has the scandium frame and is very unpleasant to shoot. It is a dream to carry with its super light weight but it downright sucks to shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Honestly as bad as I have been treated by Remington's quality control in the last 10 years I'm not at all surprised, my only real concern is what will happen to Barnes bullets, but I'm sure if they close their doors another company will fill the void. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looking even worse! https://www.google.com/amp/amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/feb/8/remington-taking-steps-toward-bankruptcy-filing-re/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have lowers in about every configuration and for strictly a predator rifle my choice is a pinned mag. Realistically It doesn't change anything other than taking an extra 30seconds to load and 10 to unload. Other than PI$$ING me off every time I have to do it it's really not a big deal. 8. Of all my AR's I own only 2 are factory built, a bushmaster and a dpms. The bushmaster is old and has been flawless but I wouldn't recommend a new one. The dpms is a full custom "back when dpms had a custom shop it's an AR10 in 308 that is an impressive rifle, never a a problem and stupid accurate. All my other AR's are home built from pieces. I highly recommend building your own even if you buy complete uppers and lowers its often cheaper and you can get exactly what you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If I kill 30 in a day I would be ecstatic! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have then tenzing turkey vest and use it for coyote hunting because I don't sit very long turkey hunting I haven't used it for that yet. For coyote hunting a its a great piece of gear, I like that I can stuff a heavy coat in the back with having the stuffed backpack feel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Checking out behind someone at the gas station that's talking on their new iPhone and paying for soda and candy for the kids with an EBT card then paying cash for Cigarettes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Feed the critters. We have a huge population around here and the local farmers are very thankful of me helping them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Got 16 today! I shot way better! Around 50-50 on the first shot. I'm going to blame it on the wind yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The choke and combo I settled on is a light modified with 1 1/8oz 7 1/2 shot at 1250fps. It's about as even if a pattern I've ever seen. I just can't shoot flying critters. If the bastards would land and just run I would have no problem! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I spent a bunch of time this fall patterning the new Benelli, I have a really good setup on paper. This is definitely a case of it being the Indian and not the bow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Feed the wildlife. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It was a good time for sure. This summer I am going to spend some time on the trap range because I absolutely suck at shooting flying birds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Got 12 all together, only 10 pictured. Haven't been out much this year but there were a ton flying. If I could have hit 1/4 of the ones I missed the number would have been better than doubled! Oh well fun day and shells are cheap. I should have taken a picture of the inside of the blind with the amount of shells on the ground! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Krylon camo paint. I'm very rough on turkey guns so I'm not that disappointed in the finish, my factory camo mossberg is more black than camo after only a few seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What if they came out with an airbow* you had to cock with a string? Would you naysayers be on board then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. 870 I did this spring. Came out pretty good but got beat up turkey hunting. If I get time I plan on stripping it and redoing it this winter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I shoot .451 cal and .429 bullets from a company called blue bullets. In my carbines they shoot very well but when pushed to hard make a mess. They'll still lead if the coating is damaged during loading. If you're not getting bad leading not now I would stick with a hardcast lead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. No way would I be hooking something like that to my Wheelers. Way to much pressure on the 2" reciever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Shoots an arrow it's an archery implement. I want it in archery season just as much as I want XBows in archery season. In my opinion anything fired by a trigger that is permanently attached to the weapon doesn't belong in archery season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I wouldn't buy a new Remington if they were all half price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
