  1. 1 no 2 yes 3 yes 4 yes 5 no Don't want full inclusion and own 3 Xbows. I think it's perfect the way it is minus the arbitrary rules. I wonk kick and scream if full inclusion comes but I won't support it getting there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 5J sw wind sitting in a funnel of a alfalfa field. We chopped the 2 cornfields below it today. Hoping we see some deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The dealer is licensed not the individual salesman. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have way more guns than I will admit to on the Internet and I am more pro gun than anyone else I know but I do not think guns should be sold in box stores. The same kid that drooled on my groceries while cashing me out at Walmart should not be able to be selling guns the next day. In my opinion guns should be sold at gun shops by professionals, and those professionals should have the ability to deny a gun buyer if they see fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Just got some inside info that the 70 acres of corn below this field is being chopped today. Ran over and got the blind setup. Last year on the day we chopped the corn here I saw 20 deer and let 5 bucks go. Tonight my 9 yr old daughter will be with me and we ain't gonna be picky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I won't bow hunt from a ladder stand. I have a 8lb hangon I carry in and hang above ladder if that's where I want to hunt. I have size 13 shoes and other than the 2 man ladders I can't turn my feet on the platform. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 20ga is about a perfect grouse getter. I killed my first grouse with a H&R single 20. Don't know why you would want to use steel shot? They hurt when you bite into one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I will likely never kill a deer in any of my food plots but there is a very rewarding feeling in seeing deer eating out of a good plot after the time and effort that goes into them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have the tissues ready to dry my eyes, knowing how hard you two have worked for it! I can't wait to see the smiling faces and that old barrel leaned against a deer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Steady north east wind. My best stand on my farm is set up for a north east wind. I usually won't hunt this stand for another month or so but couldn't resist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I agree, a few years ago Remington didn't make any for their annual run and supply was down but that was a while ago and I haven't seen a shortage since. I reload for mine and shoot them all a bunch. He'll earlier this year I was squirrel hunting with my model 14 with a 105gn cast bullet loaded to 1000fps. The 35cal guns are super versatile to the reloader but for the average guy that shoots 5-10 shots a year with their rifle I wouldn't be afraid of owning a 35 due to ammo availability. 12. With factory ammo my 10yr old daughter shoots it with no break. I think it's a pleasure to shoot with the factory stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Most likely not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I finally settled on a load 275 gn Barnes over a stout charge of h110 at 2325fps. It shoots 5 shots in a ragged hole. New trigger is a must in my opinion. Recoil is heavy but manageable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Mine is a great hunting partner except she doesn't hold still or stop talking, we have fun tho I think she is coming out with me tomorrow. Good luck to both of you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If she's anything like mine I hope you have a blind set up and a muzzle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. There is more recoil but not a lot. The 3 post Remington Marlins I have acquired have all had issues, 2 336's and a 1895 and I won't touch another one. The problem with your friends wasn't the cartridge it's the gun, failure to fires are common in single shots because it's a rimless case that have trouble head spacing ba use the bolt does not have hold of the casing. 18. With a compound you could be a 100% competent in a couple hrs. That being said I shoot year round and couldn't imagine hunting with a bow that isn't perfectly tuned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I hate anything over my face or around my neck. Ever since I learned that baby wipes takes face paint of with 1 swipe I have been a face paint guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Anyone else love the 35rem as I do? In my opinion it is one of the greatest forgotten about cartridge. Why the 30-30 is as popular as it is and the 35rem is as rare as it is I will never know. I think a big part of it is that for the last 50 years the main gun chambered in it was the 336 Marlin and although I own 7 of them I have never been fond of the Marlin lever actions. The 30-30 does nothing that the 35rem won't, and most everything the 35 does better. Today as I was working up a load for my 760 pump chambered in 35 rem I was thinking about why I liked it so much. My favorite load is a 200gn pointed soft point at about 2300fps. Every deer I have shot with this load has been killed very quickly with minimal meat damage. It just kills deer with minimal recoil in a very efficient way. Anyone else still use a 35 rem? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Beautiful cool drizzly morning to be in the woods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I have, and I kill a buck in the ADK's nearly every year. Never had to bait up there either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It helps when you have a 31" draw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 77# with a 430gn arrow at 339fps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. If you're buying a known knock off product you are a thief. An American company paid for the patten, paid engineers to design and paid $$ to market. You're stealing from a company. You guys can call it what you want but it is illegal to knowingly be in possession of a counterfeit product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
