  1. Culv. Absolutely on the septic inspection. Its good to know that these shouldnt be hooked up to the main line. Im not familiar with this so maybe my questions seemed off. But its a relief to know they should be on their own line. Still havent heard back on our offer but these drains were on my mind. Or house that we just sold had some water issues so I'm very anal about this stuff now LOL.
  2. Thanks guys. We are in the early stages of looking and we had put a offer in but it has been on my mind. Obviously if we get to the point there will be an inspection. The house is situated on top of a hill so there's no concerns about flood plains or anything to that effect. The house is not low lying so I don't see water pooling being an issue. If those drains just dumped out somewhere far away from the house I would not be concerned at all. Because there's no way that water could pool up and backflow into the house if that's what you guys are talking about. One of my main concerns was that they were connected to the septic and God for bid there was a back up I would have poop water all over my basement lol. But since it sounds like they wouldn't be connected to the septic that makes me a little more comfortable about them.
  3. Also the basement isn't fully underground. It's next to the garage and there is a walkout sliding door to the backyard. There might only be a portion of the house where the basement is underground. I don't know if that would give any extra insight into the situation. The washing machine and the hot water tank is in the basement as well
  4. The house shows no sign of water inside. It sits on top of a hill so I'm not concerned about that. I was just concerned about the drains themselves since I never saw them before. What is the original purpose for them being in there? Just an extra source of drainage if need be?
  5. Are drains ever hooked up to a drywell? Or just ran into the yard?
  6. Im half austrian so liverwurst was always around. Pumpernickel with liverwurst, onions and brown mustard!
  7. Obviously they are linked up to something. The main line im guessing. Im worried about it backing up like jeremy said.
  8. My wife and I are househunting and came across a house that we really like. One thing that I noticed was that in the finished basement there were two drains in the floor that were tiled around. It look like they were put in with the foundation before the basement was finished. I have never come across this in any other house I have lived in so I was unsure what to think of it. Any of you guys who are familiar with construction or plumbing familiar with this? Is there anything to be concerned about? From the people I've spoken to and from what I have researched it seems them or just put in the foundation as an extra source of drainage for an emergency. Anybody who is familiar with this id be interested to hear about it. I don't know if I'm thinking too much into it but I never come across this before. Thanks.
  9. Not to go off topic. But people will smoke wether it's legalized or not. And smoking on the job will be illegal just like drinking on the job. I dont smoke not because it's illegal. I just dont care for it. People arent going to smoke pot because it's legal. So no need to worry about people operating heavy machinery while high. It wont be allowed just like drinking isn't allowed.
  10. I did a quick search but couldnt find any details. Ill take your word on it. If you guys have time YouTube "ron paul student loans". He is brilliant. I know im a Paul supporter but the man is so practical its hard to disagree with.
  11. Here is how you tell him.... "Bro. Your not getting enough meat off the deer. You should be getting 10-15 lbs more than you say you are. Tighten your butcher game up dude"
  12. NYS could go red i guess. But i have nothing to support that idea. Nobody outside of nyc wants to vote otherwise we would have Astorino in office right now. Possibly no safe act as well.
  13. 18,000,000 votes did not go to Andrew Cuomo. That's my point. Where were all of the upstate New Yorkers when the time counted? Everybody keeps blaming New York City but they didn't get him elected. people from upstate did not get off their butts to vote and this is what happened. its undeniable. Nyc is gonna go dem. And they had one county go republican! If anyone is to blame its not nyc.
  14. 20 million people live in New York State. Only 2 million people voted for Cuomo. So that leaves 18 million votes that could be cast for anyone. Instead of blaming New York City for supposedly running the election, Why doesn't everybody else in upstate New York get out and vote.
  15. According to those numbers cuomo won by 500k votes. Not every voter in nyc voted for Cuomo. I cant imagine the rest of NYS couldnt get 500k votes. Where was all of upstate ny? They easily could have won the election for Astorino. There are 16 million votes that never got cast across the state.
  16. I cant like this enough. Its a huge business. Fortunately i was able to consolidate before the rates went up. But I will still be paying my loans back when my son is entering college. Sickening to think about
  17. And staten island went republican during the election. So nyc was not the reason cuomo won.
  18. Nope. If there's any chance of this Rob Astorino would've one last election. I mention this in another thread. Andrew Como didn't run away with the last election. He could've very easily been beat. Stoneam. I have to disagree. Go check out the polling results of last gubernatorial race. New York City clearly did not get Cuomo elected. The rest of the state DIDN'T get Astorino elected.
  19. Very generous but you and the fam enjoy the first batch. The next batch we can meet half way and I'll trade you a bird hunt with my dog for a stick. Ill also supply the bread, cheese and vino for the midday snack lol Viva Soppresata! Una tavola senza soppresata come una giornata senza sole!
  20. What college is this taking place at? I wish it was at mine when i went lol. Although i don't support cuomos plan, i must say that your statement isnt true. I found out the hard way my first semester that just showing up wont get you a 2.5. Im sure others can say the same
  21. Cuomo is lining up his 2020 bid. imo seems like he was trying to get the bernie sanders crowd to get behind him with the speech aboutnfree college the other day. Hes a true politician at its finest.
  22. Unfortunately that is the reality. Sometimes people go in with the best intentions but bite off more than they can chew. Gsp need their exercise. Otherwise they can get stir crazy. But id rather see an owner recognize they cant give them what they need opposed to keeping them in a situation that isnt meant for the them. A tired dog is a happy dog (and owner)
  23. NYE i made quail breasts stuffed with swiss cheese and rolled in prosciutto. they came out awesome. no pics, but i swear it happened!
