  1. After the morning I figured it was gonna be my worst day ever in the woods. At 730 a two doe came running through with 4 bucks chasing them hard. 2 of the bucks chasing were shooters. I grunted to get one of them to stop and he turned and came to 20 yds to investigate. As I drew my bow I heard a snap and there was no tension on the string. Something got in between the cam and the string and knocked my string off the cam, so I had to watch the wide 8 point walk away. I packed up my stuff in a fit of rage and went home to get my old bow to try and salvage the rest of the day. Shot for 15 minutes out back then headed back to my stand. At 430 that afternoon I was watching a doe by my stand and I glance behind me and saw this guy bee lining it for her. He had a couple branches with leaves in his antlers, but I new he was a shooter. Made a good 10 yd shot on him, but bumped him walking out so I recovered him in the morning. Still can’t believe how it all happened.
  2. Joined a while ago and have enjoyed following along on this thread. I figured this was worthy of a post. Got him yesterday dogging a doe.
  3. I scouted prior to the season at the spot I hunt and I only saw a single hen. Now during the season when scouting in the afternoon I still only see one hen. Shouldn't there be a gobbler around if there is a hen? I hear gobblers across the street every morning sometimes as many as 3. Will they eventually come for her? If I set up as close as I can to the road is there a chance I could call them over?
