Shot on 10/4 @ 27 yds. First nice buck with a bow. Got the ol' buck fever going in me. I gut shot him on the first shot, thankfully he gave me a second chance. Nice heart shot with the Mathews Z7, rage hypo broadheads put him down 10 feet from where I hit him. Heading to Wyoming in a few weeks... This season is looking much better than last year.

The Watertown store said 4 remaining, tried to place order and it says they were sold out. Placed for another store and that seemed to work. I'll let you know if mine goes thru

I also have the bodyguard. It is quite hard to be accurate with it but it is nearly unnoticeable when carrying it. I'm a bigger guy, so holding comfortably is a chore. My hand swallows up the gun. The more and more I shoot it the more I feel comfortable with it. Enjoy!Well I have been wanting a "pocket" gun for several years. Problem was the pistols I loved were not really pocket guns and neither is my full frame 9mm. I really liked the Sig P238 but it was just a hair to big but I loved the way it shot. I have fired a Ruger LCP .380 but I hated it the way it shot. I have been looking at the S&W Body Guard and have been hoping to fire one at some point but I never got the chance. After looking at and holding and reading about the Body Guard I pulled the trigger on it yesterday. I am not expecting it to be a great shooter but if is ever needed, it will be better than having nothing. First, I was just going to get the one without the lazer...then while they were doing the paperwork I was afraid I would regret it and asked if they could change it to the one with the lazer which will probably be useless but I didn't want to regret not having it. Just waiting for my amendment in the mail. Should have it next week.

I have a buddy that has been doing that the last couple years, they always come with a respectable Elk. If I remember, I'll ask where they go. I know they do some serious packing while they are there.I'm planning a diy elk hunt in Colorado next year. Well be my first tone, but I'm trying to give our group the best chance of success by using that statists class I had to sit through to analyze the different management units and find out which one we have the best chance in. We'll see...

I'm in the same boat as you. This will be my first out west hunt DIY. I was selected for a Wyoming deer tag. Looking forward to it. Had to apply by end of May, out-of-state deer tags were $330. Plan to just camp for the week and day pack the hunts.

I'd say try it. What's it going to hurt? You wont kill them if you're not there. At least you give yourself a chance if your in the area. I found a rub line last week that im going to put a climber in tonight. Good luck.
