    I went gun shopping for an AR to a few gun shops. (Narrowing down the search.) Then finished taking down the Christmas lights. Saw a couple of convertibles with the tops down, and a few motorcycles out and about too. Got up to about 65 degrees. I think it broke a record high for here, on this date! I love it for early January! Though it won't help with getting out to ice fish any time soon.

    I'm a 4H hunter too! Would be cool to meet up and talk about hunting Canadian whitetails sometime. I've always wanted to try that. Sounds like we both share a passion for deer hunting. And that you have much to share with all of us. Again....welcome, and glad to have ya join us! Just pull up a seat, and join right in anytime!

    When deer are close, never look em in the eye!! Squint, use the brim of your hat, turn your head away, look from the side. I primarily hunt from the ground, and many, many times have had deer close enough to touch. But something about when they look directly in your eyes, while up close, they're gone! Even if they can't smell ya.

    Nice guitar!!! I didn't see this, but have way too many guitars now anyways! I should sell a couple off to help with my AR coyote rig........ But they are like guns, once I have them, I hate to see them go!

    Been way too warm and wet around here, for me to even think about going ice fishing!! But see every year, some guys out on thin ice for a few perch. Crazy is right!

    I do know of it Rob. But haven't spent any time in there to speak of. Did a few deer hunts over that way years ago, but found Partridge Run much more to my liking. It's a good sized area though. And I'm sure you could find a place to camp back in there. My In-laws are from Huntersland, not too far from there.

    Most everything I've read on the 204 has been very good for predators. A gun shop owner told me he could build me a NY compliant AR in 204 for $800 - $900. Will still need some glass, and a light set up. But getting the stuff to reload the 204, may be more of a pain than the 223, which can be found everywhere.

    Man, we love em so much. And it's a sad day when we say goodbye to our furry friends. They certainly make our loves better. And even when they grow old, it seems they leave us way too soon. So sorry you and your Mrs had to say goodbye to Max, Eddie. I think I got something in my eye is all........
