If I had to pick the very best 5 days, year in and year out. Without a doubt, hands down, it would be the two days, either side of November 10th. If I could only hunt 5 days, these are the ones.

You can pay me when you see me again, Josey Wales.

At the deli we go to, there is a BIG jar, maybe 15 or 20 gallons. In that jar are pickles that are pretty big. They are awesome but I don't know the brand. My mom also made bread and butter pickles that were very good! Sure do miss those.

Sunday's weather looks to be real nice! It may be a great day for my grandson, friend, and I to hunt rabbit's in the morning. And coyote's in the afternoon. -

March 27th for coyote. -
Jeremiah Johnson and The Outlaw Josey Wales, are two of my all time favorites! Have watched them both a bunch of times. Some movies, you never get tired of seeing!

Every year, I just mark the first two weeks in November, for the best rutting days of the season. Those two weeks are when most bucks are on their feet searching for or breeding the does. Same time frame every year. Will rutting activity take place before and after this time? Absolutely! That's why you spend as much time as you can, on stand, during all of deer season!

Glad I could help. Good luck!

Wow! Nice bucks and nice work!

We started off real well. But the last 2 or 3 weekends, we have not gone for various reasons. Hoping to get back on them this upcoming weekend!

Both very nice bucks! The one looks like he is smiling. I have seen many bucks over the years smiling at me. Usually after I do something dumb. If I ever decide to have another mount done, it will be like this.

Well....it is a fiction based show. A lot of things happening that won't happen in "real life".

My prediction is that Jesus will save them all, before becoming lunch for the walkers.

More so than any gun I can't have here in NY. This is what would benefit me the most, as I don't reload. Well not yet anyway. Looking on line, there are so many ammo deals that l can not take advantage of. It would be nice to just get a better price and selection of ammo for the guns I have now.

Or what happens to you when you get older! So I hear.

For whatever good it may do, I took the survey. Posting results, even for the people who participated, would be appreciated.

I was hoping the Bass Pro car would win. Missed it by a couple inches.

Hopefully, a little better each day.

Was over in Vermont today. Middle 50s in the valleys and low 40s up in the mountains. Found a cool little gun shop in Manchester and picked up a couple things in Orvis. Beautiful day!

Having lived in S.C. for a number of years, and hunted with dogs on a hunting club. There is no way that I see, that it could done without running into the problems, phade listed. When I want to hunt with dogs and I do, every couple years or so, I just go south to visit friends and family. Whole different culture and way of hunting down there. And it works out fine for them as it has for generations. Wouldn't work so well in NYS though.
